Your poll answers are a bit jacked up there. It should be:

<18
18<
A good rule of thumb is that it expands towards the "bigger number"

Anyway, I'm male and 19.

Actually, this is a better demographic poll than most. Normally it's "Where do you live? America, US, Britain, Scotland, other" or somesuch, not having each continent mentioned which'd make much more sense.

However...not sure about the ages. Shouldn't it be "18", not "<18" and "18>"?

I noticed that as well, and couldn't quite decide which number to choose, because they all say that you're over 18.

Well, I'm male and I am 20 years old.

Actually, they all say "under 18".

American/European difference again. American use is operand operator operand (with magnitude holding the order), Europeans is operand operator (no set order).

Hence, x<18 / 18<x for US - x<18/x>18 for Europe, x's being invisible.

And there's also the other problem :)

Male, 19 years old, bro.
It's nice to see many people older than 18 here.

Though I do wonder what option of the poll you want me to take. Don't they both say "younger than 18"?

I'm not good at math but doesn't the bigger end face the bigger number? The bigger side faces 18 in both answers so doesn't that mean no matter what side you write X on 18 is bigger?

It's just the standard for different sides of the Atlantic (So I believe, it certainly WAS this way). Same as DD/MM/YY and MM/DD/YY

Yeh, that was the second problem. :)
