Wow, lot of people for cybernetics. I'd have to disagree with you, I'd go for genetic engineering. I'd rather remain organic for as long as possible. Besides, organic life is far superior to mechanized.

Cybernetics. If they include Nanites, I will be practically immortal... So to speak, as they repair the body quite well...
Well, that's only what I've heard. Correct me if I'm wrong.

And by "cybernetics" I assume some sort of high-tech super limbs or organs, mechanics or whatever...

And not those lazy "screw in fake wooden leg into stump" kind of cybernetics. Cause that's old!
And frankly ugly. I wouldn't want to be caught dead in that!

I thought about cybernetics, but there might be complications if I ever needed an MRI in future ;).

Cybernetics, cause who doesnt want to be a terminator? And its easier to be intergrated when our robotic overlords (*cough*Japan*cough*)takes over the world.

Come with me if you want to live.(said in a really bad Arnold voice)

Genetic engineering takes the cake for me, because it can make a normal organic immortal by programming its systems to 'return to the polyp stage after becoming sexually mature'(or something) like the Turritopsis nutricula, a species of jellyfish which is biologically immortal(like the hydra genus).

Genetic Engineering is far more flexible than cybernetics, and may even be provided free of charge for the genetically modified subject's off spring, since it's in the jeans.

cybernetics, then over the course of time i would gratually enhance by body to the point im more machine than human, but still me, gain effectively immortality XD lmao

EDIT: i would only choose genetics if i could enhance my self, like gene splice to the point i canhave wings :D and thats why my biology teacher prob thinks im crazy mad scientist type lmao

Cybernetics. As a programmer, I have a bit more of an idea on how they work and could potentially repair myself if I go down. Also, a cyber-brain would make hacking just that much more fun.
