Poll: Get a life

When I hear this statement I usually bring up a random number of lives (below 99) and say I have that many in the most recent Mario game I've been playing. It generally gets a weird stare from the person or a laugh depending on how well they know me.

I don't care much for this supposedly "witty and cutting jibe". I may however agree. A response from me might include but is not limited to "The lack of a life allows me much free time to invest into frivolous and sometimes productive activities." When caught off my guard the response may lower it's self to just... "No, that would get in the way." I might then make snapping noise with my fingers for good measure.

I can tell that you are singling me out because I have invested more time into this game for my own leisure. Say what you like about me, but the dark truth is that you feel alienated by your own failure in gaming and believe anyone who is good at it is wasteing their life. YEs some truly do waste time on this game, but not me, I lead a rich fulfilled life. I have great income, a beautiful girlfriend, many close friends. I use gaming to unwind after a hard day of being better than you in every way by topping it off by surpassing you at your one port in which to escape from your misery filled existance.

For the most part though I let it go, although when one guy recently told me to 'get a life you f*cking nonce' because I told him off for insulting someone else, I pointed out that for a guy who can get so angry over something so petty and can't take what he himself dishes out, he sure knows how to live.

I'll use my standard comeback to anything. "MAN I'LL FUCKING CHOP YOUR HEAD OFF AND STUFF IT DOWN YOUR NECK HOLE!". I usually said that about three or four times a day. It took a while before people started realizing that it was a joke, and no one is really getting decapitated.

Like a normal person, simply explain to them that they are a total asshole, using big words that they can't understand.

I usually say some version of 'NO U' but I know I have a life, so I'm not too affected by it, nor do I even hear those words very often. Just because my life isn't, in their eyes, a generic, 'normal' life, doesn't mean I don't have one.

I like to give a mixture of bizzare and psychopathic. Something along the lines of 'I'll cut your eyes out and try to read shit with them', and.... actually, I think that one covers it.
