I replied with "other" and my standard response to this kind of insult is something along the lines of "Well, are you an Olympic hopeful? No? Thought not, now go and fuck yourself I like my life."

Harsh, maybe a little but it's true and it pisses the hell out of me when people say it to me. Mostly because they have absolutely no concept of how hard it is to do what I am attempting to do and dismiss all that hard work in one small sentence. I probably shouldn't get worked up about it however it just gets under my skin for some reason and everyone needs somewhere to vent.
