I've been playing the Half-life series for a while and I was wondering "Why doesn't Gordon talk?" Any way I want to know what the fans think( I'm presonally voting no)

At no point in the games is it stated that he is mute. He just doesn't feel like talking.jaammiie said:Well there's one problem, he's a mute, so he can't speak. And I judge from playing the series that there seems to be no void waiting to be filled with his speech.
I personally prefer communicating by changing the level of the room on which I'm standing: jumping around on top of the light fittings in Black Mesa East is a clear indication of Gordon's relief at finally arriving at his destination.Davey Woo said:Absolutely not, all communication can be made by jumping and spinning around frantically.
For example, when Cubbage offers the RPG to you in HalfLife 2:
Cubbage:"So who here wants to use this weapon"
Gordon:...
Me"OMG me give it to me come on come on I WANT that RPG *jump jump jump jump*"
Cubbage:"Ah! Of course Gordon, why don't you take the RPG?"
See? it works.
he needs more YA!, and AIIYYYEEEE!.MaxTheReaper said:That was the exact same example I was going to use.Ago Iterum said:Does anybody need to talk... Think about that...
Yes. We do. Of course.
But Gordon needs to talk just about as much as link does. And that's not much.
"Does Link need to speak?"
No. He's a badass - he doesn't need words.
i think ren out of ren and stimpy would be niceSegadroid said:Gordon Freeman having no voice in-game makes him just the way he is. He's no guy of talking, but doing something. Giving Freeman a voice is just like your best friend having changed his haircolor; you'll barely recognise him anymore.
Besides, I can't really think of a voice suited for him. Neither can you, right?
