is it better to be the highest rank in your class in high school and be without a relationship your whole highschool carreer or to have a relationship and have average grades?

I dont have this problem, but a friend of mine does. and i couldnt tell him which was better. Need ideas to tell him please. He is a very lonely person.

Why can't you have both? If the opportunity for a relationship is there, it shouldn't affect you grades much. If it does, then dump the girl/boy.
I suppose then grades are more important overall, especially in earlier years. But having both is reasonable

Grades are long-term and stay on your record, affecting going to college, which affects your job, which affects your income, which affects your love life. Relationships come and go. Or come and stay until divorce/death. So, grades. But you shouldn't need to choose.

If good grades are going to make or break your chances of getting into college/university, then go with grades. Otherwise, a relationship would be a good idea, so long as it's a good relationship. In Ontario, colleges and universities usually only look at your 6 highest marks from Grade 12. So unless you're in your last year of high school, grades don't matter much, so long as you don't fail anything.

Oh dear, you have the rest of your life to have relationships. The chances of finding your soul mate in high school are minimal. The amount you change between your teens and twenties is huge. When two people are both changing you are unlikely to still be in a relationship by the time youre finished.

Get fantastic grades, go to a good college, then earn a fortune.

Youll more than make up for the odd boob you missed feeling in highschool when youre rich and women throw themselves at you.

More seriously, I was terrified of girls during my teens. Never had a girlf in high school. My first serious relationship started when I was twenty. Ive been in plenty of "relationships" of varying seriousness since and am now with the woman of my dreams.

Bizzarely we wouldnt have even spoke to each other when we were in high school but now were older its fantastic.

No need to worry about rushing to get a relationship, when its right it will find you. Work on your grades. Its for your future happiness.

I never cared much for grades. I could have stressed and gotten some good grades, but I decided to take it easy and ended up on just above average.

So to answer your question, relationship. Not that I had/have one.

I dive krrrazily.

But I don't know. I've heard that grades don't matter much in later in life, so I'd pick a relationship, since it's more lasting, and gives you happiness, and happiness, as a whole, is healthy (even physically) for people.

And because, you know...

EDIT: Yeah, 1111 posts. Though that'll change in a minute, but still, a celebration! N e cak3 4 m3h?

Grades are unimportant markers set by capitalist dogs.

Well, I never had a relationship in high school, but I never exactly did that well either. I'd think as long as you have good friends you talk to in high school, thats all you really need, because although grades are important, you shouldn't become a complete shut-in because of your workload.

I vote relationship, because I'm at university. I already have my GCSE's and A-Levels, I can go out and work for a living. University is a choice, so it isn't as important as anything else. Grades don't matter as much when you already have them.

If you could only have one, i suggest grades. There's plenty of time to get laid in your life. Besides, high schoOl sweethearts don't usually get married-just a one nighter.

who cares about grads?! when you die what do you want to say "well i had A+++ in all subjects" or "well i lived and loved"??
if you chose option number one you need to re-evaluate your life!

I fail to see how good grades come at the price of a relationship?

A choice that costs umpteen thousand pounds / dollars a year.
Speaking as a fellow uni student, I choose grades.
I'm not paying a ridiculous amount of money each year to find a mate, that would just be an additional bonus.

If you have the best grades then you can go to the best college were you can assume half the people there were the same way an then you will find your soulmate. If you don't think that scenario will work then just go to a few keggers in college that should get you laid... I mean a lasting relationship with a fine upstanding skank... women.
