Poll: Guild wars 2 or dark souls?

They're both great.

Get Dark Souls if you want something really absorbing to play alone and probably spend a lot of time on if you want to reach the end. Get Guild Wars 2 if you want something to play often with friends, and... probably also spend a lot of time on.

I'd get both if I were you.

It's not about which game is good. It's not even about which game is better. Both games are way to different to be compared with each other. The only question is: what kind of game to you want to play?

I've played Guild Wars, and I've seen lots of Guild Wars 2 gameplay. GW2 looks fun and very easy to get into. But I've been playing lots of Dark Souls, and it's a tough game, but very addicting if you're okay with dying a whole lot of times. There are also some--at least for me--very high risk moments. I would go with Dark Souls myself. Both are long term games in my opinion. But, if you have some friends on Guild Wars 2, get that.

Guild Wars 2, hands down. As much as I love Darks Souls (which is a lot...GotY 2011 for me), the PC port is more than a little shoddy. If you really want Dark Souls, it might be better to pick it up on the PS3/360, just so you won't have to deal with GFWL and all the other crap with the port.

I'd recommend Guild Wars. Much as I like Dark Souls, I have not heard good things about the port - wait for a while til it's polished more.
