Why not use crowbars? I think that the irony factor in that would make it well worth it.

Meh. I don't see why people like it. It's not a bad game, it's just a bland one. I don't see anything particularly good or bad about it.

It was overhyped for me, but good. In retrospect, I enjoyed the original more, but it's hard to compare games across a gulf of that many years. The one thing I thought Valve did best was the character of Alyx Vance.

I was disappointed with Half-Life 2, to say the least. It's not a very good game, not nearly as good as people say it is.

I think that has to do with more of personal opinion on your part. Half-Life 2 to me on the other hand was not my favorite game either, but I still enjoyed my play through of it.
