LoL If you can't even make the equivalent of a pizza hut crap fest then you really can't talk about cooking food.
Seriously I have yet to find a worse pizza than the hut's. I could easily copy it but ugg why would you ewww.
I would bet any amount money that you and anyone else couldn't make a pizza that's even remotely like Pizza Hut's or any other fast food for that matter in their home, nobody can.
It's pretty easy. Just buy some frozen dough for that extra crappiness.
Or you could make a real home made pizza, one that blows pretty much all the chains and, depending on the state of pizza in your area, a lot of the local joints away.
Seriously, I have a hard time understanding why anyone would voluntarily buy fast food pizza unless A.) they're trying to save money, so a $5 large (that's about the size of a small at a real pizza place) is a good way of doing it, or B.) there are no real pizza places in the area. It's pretty much the same in terms of time and convenience, the difference is in quality and price, with the price typically not being all that much higher.
You forgot C.) That fast food pizza especially ones like Pizza Hut is leaps and bounds better than anything anyone could possibly make at home, which is the real reason.
Um, no it's not. I can make a better pizza using canned biscuits for the crust, and that's not bragging. Home made pizza is amazing, and it's even better with actual pizza dough.
you need to become a master chef then apparently, every homemade pizza i've ever tasted was complete shit or was wayyyyy too heavy on the add-ons.(this is coming from someone who eats pizza bare minimum once a week)
i'll stick to my freschetta and godfathers pizzas, as it is fucking delicious enough for me to eat my OWN jumbo pizza in one sitting usually.
Sounds to me like you're just used to frozen crap, which I guess there's nothing wrong with that. Saves you money on food, anyway. Are there any local pizza joints you frequent, or just Godfather's and your local grocery store's freezer? Serious question.
i've tried shit tons of different pizza's (from fine dining italian all the way down to "i'm drunk..and this is in the shape of a triangle, i'll eat it.")
some examples of places i've had pizza at:
pizza counter
Orsi's
Big Fred's
Sortino's
Old Chicago
Dominoes
Little Caesars
Mama's Pizza
Sam & Louie's
Zio's
La Casa Pizzaria
Valentinoes
Bene's Pizza and pasta
Romeo's
Pizza Gourmet Co
Lansky's Pizza
Papa Johns
Cici's pizza
Pizza hut
and those are the ones off the top of my head, besides the obvious chains, i can't tell you which is a major chain and which isn't, i'm pretty sure at least half of them are not, as i've never seen them outside the state/area. But yes, out of all of those, Godfathers and freschetta frozen pizza's are the only two that i can eat consistently. (one summer our entire deep freezer was filled with probably 60-70 cheese pizza's, i ate em all personally before the summer was over.I'm honestly surprised i ever pooped considering how much cheese i had going through me)
Yeah, looks like a lot of those really are local joints, and I do mean joints, not chains. Weird that you stick with Godfathers and Freschetta, though. Although we don't really have Godfathers around here, so maybe it's one of those places that are pretty good despite being a chain, like Marco's. I know when I eat frozen pizza, I'm not exactly looking for something that tastes like the real deal, so I won't hold the Freschetta against you
Besides, if memory serves, it's one of the better brands of frozen, for people who like their frozen pizzas to taste like good pizza. I actually kind of like that processed taste you get with the cheap ones, in the same way you might like, say, soft serve ice cream, while still preferring real ice cream.
My main point initially was about going to the likes of Pizza Hut and Hungry Howies when you've got good local pizza, not necessarily the more upscale chains. Although even those are easily topped by really good local pizza, not every town has one. For some reason around here, the small towns have better pizza than the big cities -- I don't know of any truly good pizza places in Tampa, for example, but I know of several in my home town, which is much smaller and about an hours drive away.
