Well, since getting into the show (and subsequently the fandom), I've actually increased my efforts to understand people.

I'm not so short with opinions or as bias as I used to be on certain topics. I'm more willing to look at things that are abnormal and not react with disgust or bewilderment, but with intrigue and sympathy.

Now, this isn't all just from "happy ponies doing happy things and loving friendship," it's from the unexpected turn about of this fandom and my own interest in the actual show, it all really made me think about the concept of perception.

In the end, I feel I've become a much less judgmental person. I'd much rather understand something and the reasons behind it rather than mock it out of my own ignorance.

No, not really. Then again I haven't watched anything MLP related (other than a few fan made mashups/parodies) since the 80's and even then I never really watched the show. At that time I only came into contact with it because my sister and her friends were really into it. Now the only exposure I get to anything MLP related is on the Internet and certainly don't have any desire to go watch the show, old or new.
Well it's not really fair to judge the current generation by the 80's version: If they weren't both about ponies it would be almost unrecognizable.

I didn't say I hated MLP, I'm just not interested in it. Frankly it baffles me that it's become as big as it has, but I hold no animosity against it (unlike Daystar). Although the over-saturation of the forums does get kinda irritating sometimes, other times though it can be amusing.
Hey, I don't hate ponies!

I just don't like them, is all :D

I've seen every episode but no, it hasn't changed my life in any way. I don't really see how the show could have such a profound impact on someone. But, hey, if it did all the power to ya.

No.

Because my life is not so insignificant and miserable that it can be changed by a single cartoon. No matter how adorable it is.

Why do you need to know that?
that is what I was thinking too, though quite confident OP is just trying to annoy people ><

No more than any other show. Not gonna lie it's a good cartoon, but that's just it isn't it? It's just a cartoon.

The show did make me question the sanity of many people on the internet, but then numerous other fandoms have evoked similiar reactions.

I guess I just hate fandoms in general. The show itself is great, proof that My Little Pony needn't be saccharine trash.

If it wasn't for the show I'd be studying, and most likely FAILING, physics and maths. Instead, I'm currently studying animation and I'm doing pretty well.
Also, I'm less cynical. So say what you want about the show, it is overall a good thing to have happened. I think people's future jobs and how happy they are are more important than if you don't want to see your favorite show crossed with MLP.
EDIT: Oh, and I have about twice as many friends now. Mainly because I didn't have that many friends before, but I've met lots of new people who I absolutely love to bits.

All it's changed in my life is that I now hate flash animation even more then I already did (except for South Park).

Also, kudos for covering yourself in pitch like that, OP.

No change recorded. I'm still who I was despite the frustrations of dealing with overzealous bronies bringing up the subject everywhere.

[sub]I wish I had recorded that WOT battle where bronies spammed the chat. There were many friendly fire incidents.[/sub]

My life has improved... because now I have another show that I can easily watch that relaxes me?

I mean it's a tiny improvement cuz I already had Scrubs and How I Met Your Mother for that... but an improvement none the less.

It's given me more freaks to laugh at that's for sure, other than that no. It's a pathetically mediocre series that has gotten ridiculously over praised.

Nope, I added it to my pile of 'cartoons I watch'.

Wouldn't say it's taught me much since I'm usually told I walk to the beat of my own drum anyway.

I was wary of it at first, given that the hype stemmed from 4chan but... meh got over that.

Technically, that's where your life started.

I'll give you a moment to let that sink in.

OT: Not really. I mean, my roommate is all into it, and I can appreciate the appeal, but for me, I'll pass. The fandom of the show has really turned me away from enjoying anything about it, quite frankly. It's a cartoon about candy-colored ponies, nothing more.

Lies! My life started in the womb! I won't have those crazies calling me a mass murderer for spilling my seed, dang it.

P.S.: I totally didn't recognize you with the avatar. Dunno why that's relevant. To anything. But whatever >_>
