Have I ever punched someone? Yes in both positions. In 8th grade, because I was picked on by the entire school practically, I just kind of kept everything bottled inside. At some point in the year, the one guy in my grade just pushed me over the edge and I had a black out and next thing I knew, I had him pinned to the ground and his nose was bleeding. So there's that...

In self defense, at one of my friend's parties, some guy I don't know was there drunk off his ass and me being sober since I don't drink asked him to leave because he was being an asshole. He throws one punch at me, I stand my ground and say "I won't fight you." throw another punch "I said, I'm not fighting you." He then tried to kick me, I grabbed him by the ankle, stepped on his other foot and tugged him towards me. He was then in a split and curled up on the floor.

But those are the only times I've fought people aside from on stage and on camera for acting.

I have punch one or two times but it wasn't proper (I didn't throw a punch our or rage or got into a real fight). Me and my mates in High school were messing around and lightly throw punch at each other (I can't remember why we did it as it seen so stuid now).

No, but Id like to - just once in my life! Im not a hateful/violent person, far from it - but Id feel if I died having never really hit someone then Id missed out on... you know, punching someone.

How can you admit to throwing punches when you lose control, and then say you cannot in defense because your "rational" mind wont allow it? Obviously, you dont have a rational mind.
When I'm in a rational state of mind I can't bring myself to harm someone in that way. It's only if I'm provoked through anger that can I bring myself to act out of character. Unless you're emotionally stunted, everyone acts impulsivly from time to time.

Plenty of times. It's not a good idea.

I haven't in over two years though. So that's good I supposed. Hey funnily enough, I haven't been a teenager for just over 2 years.

But yeah, last time I punched someone was when I was 19.

I was at a Bible camp (which ironicly made me turn into an Atheist). This kid kept annoying the shit out of me. He kept calling me fat and and other mean names. So, I walked over and told him to stop nicely. When he wouldn't, I swung and punched him in the face. He had a bloody nose and was crying.

The cabin was dead silent after that. The guy in charge scolded me and sent me to the chapple to pray for forgivness.

I still laugh about that. I think that was the first time I got in a fight.

I'm not talking about baby taps and dead arms and stuff here, but real blows with the intent to cause damage.
Sure. I was living in pretty dangerous 'hood. Brawls were inevitable.

When I was in elementary school, yes. First time was in grade 3. I always feel bad thinking of this one, but basically I made fun of this kid's last name - although to be fair (aka have an excuse), he has the same last name as some family friends which we "lovingly" call by this "silly" name. Anyway, point being, he then made a similar retort to my last name, so I punched him in the stomach. He was down and crying, I got in huge shit... it was stupid but I just flipped.

Anyway the second time was grade 5 or 6. We were playing ball tag and this one friend kept going for me. I was getting super frustrated, felt like he was picking on me. Finally I snapped and chased him down. I was basically straddling him on the ground and punched him a bunch of times, although I didn't go for the face (I think). We didn't talk for about a week, then we were back to normal after that. I don't feel so bad about that one, he kind of deserved it.

When I was in school I punched a bully with intent to cause harm. It was very satisfying and *shock* stopped the bullying.

I grew up in a bad neighborhood so I fought a lot. You get to the point where you can't appear weak or the bullies start ganging up on you. It's strange now how easy it is to distance myself from that and become a peaceful person that doesn't have to fight anymore.

Oh yeah. I think being a pub goer in the UK requires that i'm eventually gonna have to hit someone.

Self defence only though, and it always hurts like a ***** afterwards unless I hit them in the stomach or throat. Especially if you go for a throat punch and they bring their chin down on it. Either way you're knocking them on their arse, but you'll push a knuckle out of place doing it.

It's actually pleasing winning a fight that someone else started with you, surprisingly. That always worried me slightly.
I've been going to pubs for some eight years in the UK and I've never had to throw a punch.
You need to find better (less chav filled) pubs.

Only twice and one of those times I felt horrible about it,

See what happened was, my friend thought it would be funny to sneak up behind me, and doing this knowing I don't like it when people do that. So, I was by myself waiting for our group of friends to get to this restaurant and she came up behind me and grabbed my shoulders. I jumped up, swung and punched her real good. Thankfully I didn't break anything or make blood come out, but I felt like shit for the next couple days.

The other time was because this guy was insulting my older brother, who has several disabilities, and thought it was funny how weird my brother is and decided to tell me all about it. He never got very far, it's really hard to continue insulting when blood keeps coming into your mouth from a bloody nose.

A few times actually, but most of the times, I go for Palm strikes or chokes (It's not painful to choke someone out and a good delivered Palmstrike can knock someone down over a much shorter distance, without the risk of breaking ones knuckles).

Yes, twice. I got arrseted for it the first time when I was 16.

A friend's ex threatened to rape her over the phone, and even travelled over 10 miles in a taxi to our location with a friend. He didn't realise there was about 20 of us there (house party) and when he turned up I was the first to flip and see Red as he was still mentioning rape. I punched him in the face until he was bleeding, kicked him in the balls a few times and wouldn't stop kicking him when he was on the floor.

Cue an Ambulance and about 4 Riot Vans coming about 15mins later with me being thrown in the back with other friends who also started and him in the Ambulance.

Not a single regret was given that day.

Once, twice. I've never really needed to escalate it that far. I've thrown a few slaps in my time. When I get insulted, I insult back, when I get slapped, I slap back, when I get punched, I punch back. And I've only been punched a time or two since I lost my inhibition about defending myself(long story).

It's actually just as fun as it looks. I'm in martial arts so I've had to toughen up my fists in practice. I imagine if I hadn't done that it would have hurt though.

A few times in high school.

Then once at a party when I guy started pulling one of my friends clothes off and dragging her into a van. He said he was drunk and it did not count.

His van still has a dint in it where I tossed his head against it.
No one reported it, but hey it felt good to pummel that bastard.

I've punched a few people, and it's never an enjoyable experience. The one time I had slammed someone in the head, it ended up breaking more than a few fingers. The other times were generally just hitting them in the gut, but those were rarely "Fully" serious.

People, I implore you, don't punch a guy in the face. It hurts. And by that, I mean it hurts your fist, - Go for the throat instead.

The good part is, the guy who I punched in the head wasn't in good shape. Seems I somehow hit near his temple or something, heard he had a ruptured...Bloody...Something. Really can't remember.

Only once since I'm a very mellow and peaceful person 99% of the time... and I can't really remember it, I can remember what led up to it, took my baby sister (ok she's 20 now but she will always be my baby sister) out clubbing on her 18th birthday, playing designated driver for her and a few of her friends, to hopefully put my reaction in a bit more context I love my sister to death, she means the world to me!

Anyway while in the club I was keeping an eye on her from the bar as there were the usual dicks out and about at clubs on weekends looking to get laid and generally being douches and this being my sisters first night out she might not have been aware of the sorts of people who are out there.

Now there was one guy who was hounding her and I had a really bad feeling, then when he grabbed her and tried to kiss her I got up and started walking over, when she shoved him away and yelled at him, his pride must have been bruised because he got angry and backhanded her... that made somehing snap in my and I cant quite remember what happened next, I remember running to her... but I kind of had a "black out" moment and came back to my right mind being restrained on the floor by 2 bouncers because apparently no matter what anyone said I wouldn't stop and that right there terrifies me

Since then I just try not to do anything that will get me into anything like that situation again, haven't been clubbing in years, never go anywhere near alcohol outside of the house, dont leave the house after 9pm on weekends if I can help it

I don't regret it howevever, being there for my sister, not for a second!
