It's not wierd, it's healthy. When in doubt, just put a ton of bacon bits and dressing on your salad if you're concerned it seems unmanly.

Edit: A manly way of saying you eat salad is "I consume the flesh of the earth."

Perhaps you should have two experimental meals with her at a fancy restaurant. One in which you enjoy a salad - either as a side dish or a complete entree - and the other were you eat a 17oz bloody rare steak with only your hands, while noisely guzzling cheap beer from the largest container they have.

Give your girlfriend a bit of perspective on how stupid it is to read sexuality in eating habits.

Punch her in the face and ask if you're masculine enough now. Sadly it's the only way...

You kidding me?! Depending on how you make them, salads can be like an orgy of bread, bacon, cheese and orgasmic dressing (and maybe a couple of veggies thrown in there).

I guess regularly eating those small, hard-to-pronounce, un-croutoned/cheesed salads wouldn't be the manliest thing to do, but that pales in comparison to monstrous food orgies of cheese, veggie and bacon.
DAMN YOU, THAT IS AWESOMEATIC TO THE ^99999999999999999999999TH DEGREE it may compare to a sub-shops roastbeef i love so much :)

Nothing more refreshing for lunch than a salad, lettice, carrot, Pepper (red, yellow & green), some onion, tuna mixed up with malt vinegar and some honey roasted chicken BOOM! Top all that off with some Basmalic vinegar and cheese it's a huge filling meal

It's fine for people to eat whatever the hell they like, long as they don't stop me eating what I like. Food is like religion that way...

My girl is amazed by my ability to toss an incredible salad, so I'm alright.

But for fuck sake, ditch her if she has a problem with you eating healthy stuff.

I love salads, they taste so good and they are basically the only thing I order when I go to resturants. I say if you enjoy eating it then eat it, don't worry about what people say. Doesn't stop unhealthy people from eating the McRib, so don't let it stop you from enjoying something that is both super tasty AND good for you.

real men tackle beasts twice their size and rip into to them with their man teeth.

so to answer your question, salads can only be eaten in a masculine manner as long as your harvesting it from a freshly murdered 24-ft tall lettuce-beast

I'm not a fan of salads personally.

Anything you put in salad i would gladly eat individually, but something about putting them together is unappetizing.

This is probably one of those urban legend hearsay things, this this is the first thing I though of.

Salads are fine for men to eat. I have no idea why that would even need to be said. t isn't like males are carnivores. What does she make of vegetarians?

Salads are staple of my diet. And I am a manly man. If your girlfriend is that obsessive about you looking "manly", I would recommend an end to the relationship.

This post actually made me chuckle. Thank you urbandictionary, now every thread has a massive potential for unintentional sexual entendre.

I would have thought your girlfriend would prefer you tossing salad to chugging down some hefty meat.
