I don't know. I often hate my fellow man, but being the good guy is hard-coded into my soul.
Edit:

Probably an anti-hero of sorts. I'd be dealing out brutal punishment to those who deserve it, but I wouldn't want to hurt innocents.
Yeah that sounds about right. I'd protect the innocent, but the wrath of god would be nothing compared to the fury I'd unleash on the evil in the world.

I'm typically a hero. The reason isn't very heroish though. You see, villains are typically strong. However, once you are a villain you are usually just pushing around and fighting the weaker people that you know you can beat(cops/guard included). I prefer to fight the villains of untold strength, because anything else just wouldn't be a challenge.

I'm a kind of contradictory chaotic good - I hate people and wish them all dead - yet feel the need to save them.

Maybe I want them to myself ;)

A villain, because life has shown me human kind isn't really worth my trouble and can take care of it self, so why not have some fun.

I would only steal if nesicary to survive, I would kill those who are corupting or coupted e.g bribed goverment members, most people of Fox 'News' and take over the goverment of places to improve society.

The real world isn't so black and white as TV and comic books. (Incoming irony) Even The Comedian from "Watchmen" had a reason for being such a intentionally amoral douche; he refused to pretend that he, as a human, wasn't a savage at heart, so he became the perfect parody of human nature. THAT is why he was considered evil. Yet despite this, (SPOILER) when he had the chance to tell Silk Specter II that she was his bastard daughter, he didn't. He said "can't a guy talk to his...you know, friend's daughter?" to Silk Specter I instead of "can't a guy talk to his daughter?"

Besides, complex characters are more interesting. I'd rather be morally ambiguous than cut-and-dry.

Villains get cool doomsday devices but then screw it up by placing the hero in a ridiculously slow moving death trap.

I would do the first part but throw the hero into a blender for giggles

See I would be the villain that turns out to be working for the betterment of humanity. So an evil overlord type that overthrows governments and kills everyone who stands in the way but that ultimately is averting an apocalypse or brining about peace and justice for all.

Well I'm a moral nihilist, but aware that my invariably self-serving nature makes me a bad person in most people's eyes.
Besides, if I got my hands on any super-powers potent enough for the job, there's a decent chance I'd try to wipe out humanity on the basis that I just don't particularly like it.

So yeah- villain, I suppose, but not because I get a kick out of it.

I voted "I'm not sure" but... well in games that give you the black and white choice, I'm usually a hero. I occasionally play the villain but after a while I always delete the save pick up a hero again. I guess it just sits better with me.

Games that are more grey (as I've found Dragon Age to be so far - just started playing it today) are a lot more interesting. I decided to kill the "shems" in the forest in case they brought more later on.

It occurred to me soon afterwards that it's very unlikely they would've done and I could've just let them go, but having to make the choice based on the circumstances was pretty neat.

In real life? I'm a hero :D

Where's the option for antihero?

But on topic, hero. Sure, the villain may get the cool toys and ominous doom fortresses, but there's nothing quite like facing the villain at the top of a tower, hearing a speech about his motives and whatever mysteries were floating around, and then beating the crap out of him.

Hero... i dont do evil very well

Actual event:

(in my thoughts) "I can't stand all these assholes i see every day, if i had a chance i would..."

My sister walks in with two small puppies

(Me out loud) "PUPPIES!!!"

Puppies would be a fatal weakness if i was a villain... and they're not rare like kryptonite or the like.

Villain because I know 90% of every villains weakness:
When they capture the hero they think it's okay to tell him the plan before it is impossible for him to do anything about it, Ozymandias and a few others didn't so they would be my role models

Kittehs are my kryptonite!

Baby seals too.
I still killed a load in Overlord 2, though.
