Yes. I have the power to control music and make it an armor. I'm afraid it is a gift only for me.Donnyp said:YOU WEAR MUSIC! Teach me your ways. You are a master.War Penguin said:I wear normal clothes and music a fair amount of people like.
The hipsters were I live closely resemble homeless people...senorcromas said:Umm... those sound more like homeless people...Ham_authority95 said:I never go to restaurants on Saturday morning.
You know why? hipsters.
they all come in, smelling like cheap beer and vomit, freshly hung-over from a party, eating off my plate and calling me a conformist because I don't smell at least 99% like a dumpster, thus ruining my breakfast.
Yeah I FUCKING HATE THEM
Not having to compulsively dress ridiculously is a big plus.fluffybacon said:You are all trying to imply that "hipsters" are just conforming to "hipster" culture, well how are you any better...
You rather sound like one, judging by your knowledge of the hipster paradox, stating that we are jealous of hipsters, and using the words 'corporate' and 'consumerist'. Honestly, those are buzzwords. I'm happy to buy my own clothes rather than produce it; it is very hard to make even a goddamn white tee.fluffybacon said:I AM NOT A HIPSTER.
I have only one response to this post.fluffybacon said:I don't reject things because of popularity, just cause contra hit no1 in the world doesn't meant I don't like it.Zetsubou said:You rather sound like one, judging by your knowledge of the hipster paradox, stating that we are jealous of hipsters, and using the words 'corporate' and 'consumerist'. I don't hate people who have their own tastes, I hate people who are so absolutely "counterculture" that they reject everything that is ever known and try to live a life of apathy about everything.

Just because anco has become (relatively) well known doesn't mean I've stopped liking them, I will stand by them as long as they keep making good music.
[sub]AND I LIKED ANCO PRE-STRAWBERRY JAM![/sub]
Just because I associate myself with certain artistic and cultural things doesn't mean i'm a blind conformist, it doesn't make a hater of all other culture, it doesn't make me a douchebag, it doesn't make me subhuman, it doesn't make me despise anyone who isn't in the same "scene" as me.
I'm not that shallow.
I do respect people who are individuals however, I'd be more likely to interact with someone who looks like an interesting, cultured, intelligent person than someone who just looks exactly like everybody else.
Honestly, I think it's someone mocking hipsters by semi-trolling. This way, they can make fun of hipsters, while pissing people off. Having their cake and eating it too. Of course, since the user is trolling ironically, there's a very good chance they are a hipster, since hipsters love irony.Zetsubou said:You rather sound like one, judging by your knowledge of the hipster paradox, stating that we are jealous of hipsters, and using the words 'corporate' and 'consumerist'. You just completely blew my mind with that one.ReincarnatedFTP said:Honestly, I think it's someone mocking hipsters by semi-trolling. It's a troll pretending to be a hipster who is being ironic.
Or it's a hipster being ironic.
So I'm picturing a hipster in front of a monitor, with his hipster friends over his shoulder, going "Look at how ironic I'm being, I'm so unique I'm parodying our own social group on an obscure gaming forum while simultaneously ironically trolling them by defending our social group under the guise of another mainstreamer. Those mainstream conformists are such rubes that they can't make heads or tails of it."
