Remus. Apart from Harry Potter, I've never heard of another. Except this one time I was in a restaurant and saw a balloon on the ceiling that said 'Happy 40th Remus'. As I wasn't there for a special occasion or with people who could/would premeditate it as a joke, I was freaked out about it being a vision.

Edit: Apparently there are 1 or less people with my name in the US, and in the UK, where I'm from, I don't exist.

My first name is a bit old fashioned, but still quite common. I know four people with the same name as me.

Lets just say that in my schoolclass we were 4 boys with that name. It was pretty widespread in the 80s. But i like it and its origin. Plus i would hate my parents for giving me one of these ridiculous "creative" "unique" and "deep" names todays kids are punished with. Its all like the hippie times again.

According to How Many of Me 'Melissa' is the 66th most popular first name which is ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT. I have yet to meet another person with the first name Melissa. My middle name is actually pretty rare though. It's also a boys name but whatever.

Apparently there are 256 other people with my first and last name, so my last name must be pretty common.

...Has any out there ever met more than one 'Melissa'. I'm pretty sure it's a fairly rare name.

I know four of them - went to school with three, and am related to one. It really isn't rare at all in the UK, I can't imagine there's much disparity between the countries.

My name is insanely common, at school I sat on a table made up entirely of people with my name.

My middle name is rare nowadays but was one of the most common back in ye olde England.

There's probably 10 or so people in my country with my name, maybe less. Haven't met any of them ever. One of my parents once heard about someone with the same name 15 years ago, never since.

I don't think it's used anywhere else, though I may be wrong about that.

So 'Very Rare' would be about right.

Plus, according to Nelly, I'm hot. Not sure how I should feel about that....

Well, Sara is pretty damn common in Sweden (being especially popular during the '80s and '90s), but I spell it Sarah, which is far less common. So I've got a common name with a fairly uncommon spelling.

My last name, however, is very rare; there are only 10 other people in Sweden who bear it - all of them being close relatives to me. The reason for that is probably that my great great grandfather (or something like that) one day decided that his last name was too common and just pulled another one out of his ass...

Depending on where you live in the United States or Britain my name is fairly rare.

Pretty much anywhere else in the world it is very rare.

I've only ever met one other Parker (first name) and only heard of maybe one or two other people besides that who have it. I'd judge it to be a fairly rare first name.

My middle and last name, however, are both quite common--because they're both first names you see around all the time, at least in the United States. If only I had a penny for every time people mix up my first and last name(even on lists where everyone's name is specifically listed last name then first people still get it wrong!).

Well, I'd have quite a few pennies.

Ruben, not very common where I live, I have seen maybe 2 or 3 guys with the same name, and the thing is when I was born my parents didn't knew what to name me so I spent and entire week being called "Baby" untill my parents decided to name me Ruben wich fits me very well, it was either Ruben or Francisco (I am from Portugal) and I am glad my parents choose what they did.

Didn't know what to vote. It's Erik, which, the name itself is fairly common, but that spelling is only really common in one part of the world.

Also, Americans can't pronounce it right.
