Medium Rare-Medium. Depending on the type of steak in question. I usually go for Medium though. Still enough juice, and it usually comes out still pinkish. I like it a little bit crusty, but not like a boot.

Damn, I want a steak right now.

I find steak to be pretty mediocre overall, but when I do deign to have it, I take it well done.
And this is why you find it mediocre.

Medium for me, delicious. I... I've worked in kitchens and have seen what happens when someone orders "Well Done".

I used to be a chef. Don't order anything above medium.
Firstly, they can't cook it fast enough so that it comes out with the rest of the meals, thereby upsetting the customer, the waiter, the chef and the rest of the dining party. Secondly, over-cooking destroys good steak. At home, with low grade meat, fine. But good porterhouse, T-bone or other good cuts of steak just doesn't need to be cooked too long. It destroys the texture and the flavour.
Thirdly, steak done this way can be a little different to the palate - honestly though, do you go to a restaurant to have exactly the same kind of meat you can do for yourself at home? Be adventurous!

In bacon/sausage form. I hate steak.

Between rare and medium rare. Oh god, I want steak. I'm going to buy some steak, and some Montreal Steak Spice! Not right now, seeing as it's 3am, but when I get up!!

Medium is the best way to go. I don't see how anyone takes it well done.

If I'll be honest with you, I've never been too picky. As long as it tastes good and I don't get food poisoning it's fine with me.

Medium, though there seems to be no consensus on what this actually means between different restaurants.

Loooovvveee a perfectly medium rare steak. In my opinion, steak/beef should be juicy. Can't stand it too much more well done than medium.

Hehe, you said meat *giggles*

*cough* I like my steak nice, red and bloody. I like dipping my mashed potatos in the delicious blood of the dumb beast I am devouring, MUAHAHAH!

Well done. If the meat is still pink, then I'm not eating it. I like my food to actually be cooked, thank you very much.

My Dad always used to have this saying: "If you order your steak 'well done' then the chef will try to kill you." I always order medium rare because there there is room for it to be a little underdone (leaning towards rare) and a little bit 'well done' without the fear of a homicidal chef.
