Pretty simple. Do you pronounce it "zee" or "zed"? Or do you pronounce it another way (if you do, I'd love to know where you come from)?

I'm an Aussie, and I pronounce it zed :)

"Zee" because it's how it's pronounced here in the US o' A.

Unfortunately, this insignificant cultural difference usually leads to Brits and 'mericans bitching over which one is "Right" when it really does not matter. :l

I know I SHOULD say Zed... but I was taught Zee in Primary school and I can't seem to pronounce it any other way without thinking about it rather heavily :/

Tis the only word (Can it be called that?) I pronounce the American way instead of the English way...

I pronounce it zee because that's the way it's pronounced here(USA), and also because it just sounds correct to me. Really it's just a cultural difference thing like elevators and lifts. Neither is universally correct and both are correct within their areas of usage.

This is the first I've ever heard of it being pronounced any other way besides "Zee"

I usually use 'zee' but because of people (well one person) telling me it's pronounced 'zed' when I do, I think I'll start using 'zeed' and blow everyone's minds.

Well, when I learnt my ABCs, I learnt it as "zee", but whenever else its always "zed", because thats what is done in New Zealand.

"Zed", typically, although I occasionally find myself saying "zee" instead.

The American culture is getting to me!

Completely interchangeably. Typically, I say "zed" in a more formal context (like if I'm in class) and "zee" if I'm goofing around with friends (although these aren't hard and fast rules).

to be honest, "zed" sounds stupid to me. I've heard it enough where it's sounding less stupid, but unless there are other letters in the alphabet that don't have the same universal pronunciation, "zed" is the odd man out. A lot of the letters are pronounced with a "ee" sound anyway (B, C, D, E, G,....). No need for Z to be any different. It certainly offers some easy rhyming opportunities.

I'm an Australian who pronounces it 'Zee'.

'Zed' sounds silly, and doesn't rhyme in the alphabet song. For these reasons, I dislike it.
