Poll: How do you see virgins?

Right, there are too many replies for the long post I made. In short, their rational is what colors my opinion of them with this status. Moral and religions concepts are invalid in my eyes. IE something that "feels good" shouldn't "be wrong" just because somebody said it was. I detest such concepts.

The counter is absolutely NO ONE should feel forced to do such. of my friends that have felt secure in telling me of such things, those that were forced have universally been worse off for it. There were/are differences in how they took the trauma and ran with it, but it's been universally negative. Not feeling secure in the act with this person is something I can't have a problem with. I'm a little odd when I encounter a woman like this, but I respect the choice.

The concept that a person couldn't find any one they'd be willing to lose it to and willing to do them is... well, I think it's feasible, but that the bigger statement is one of standards, and who's looking for the impossible. I've known women with such standards, even when they complained about not having sex recently/enough.

Then again, this comes back to an old standard. If I must judge, judge the person, in all factors, not the factors to judge all people.

B) in that around 15-18 age group in which it's still considered socially acceptable to still be a virgin in Britain, in which case, I suggest they hurry. If they don't do it before 18, they never will, as there are very few who would ever go for a relationship with a virgin after that.

C) like me, were just too damn ugly to do it before 18. In which case, they're possible allies. As that fish dude said in Hellboy, "us freaks have to stick together, he'll if we don't, the "normal", 90% psychotic towards abominations like me majority of society might just kill us all.

Especially point B is utter BS, you'll upset people for no reason if you say crap like that..there's nothing about being a virgin that makes you unapproachable for relationships in any way.

Do you live in Britain? If not I can see why you believe that. If you do live here, then haven't you noticed how everythings went to hell? It seems like you're thinking up some excuse for changing into people you used to hate.
Don't give up on your own morals to make life easier. It's just saddening.
Your area sounds bad, fine. But that doesn't mean that the whole of Britain is anything like that, so don't try to generalize it.
And especially don't try to give the impression that you were trying to change the way the world works. If you care about the kind of people who think it matters that you're a virgin, you're just as bad as them.

I agree with you, I am English born and raised and him placing arbitrary rules on values and society based on a few crappy people he sees on the street is just twisted, there's nothing wrong with them or you but acting like it makes you less in some way is outright stupid.

People understand what inexperience is like, and his sex life is going to come up in conversation a hell of a lot later into getting to know anybody that they shouldn't immediately dismiss you.

He should try not to wear it like a sign that reads "i'm a freak", and look for better people.

They're people, I'm not exactly sure why sex is such a big deal. My first time sucked and every subsequent time it's only really been just for fun. I mentioned this in another post that it's not a massive deal and isn't the be-all-and-end-all of relationships, it's just one way you can show affection but it's not really the most affective. I find that a good cuddle or a long conversation are far more effective than an hour's romp in the bedroom (or where ever else).

There's a hell of a lot more you can do with your life than pursue intercourse, I'm not saying you shouldn't try, just don't make it seem like it's such a big deal.

I was a virgin up until recently - they'll generally get some eventually, provided they don't vow to never lose their virginities (i.e. nuns, catholic priests, monks, etc). Although there will be some who are naturally so strange that they'll never get any, though it may not bother them.

Innocence and age have very little to do with it, in my opinion.
I've know people who were 14 and virgins, and there was nothing innocent about them. And people who were 20 and virgins and quite innocent.
It's a matter of surroundings and choice to a great degree. Some people and bought up sheltered, and some, well, not so much.

I know a few people my age who are virgins (age: 20/21) and they seem to struggle, socially, more than others. I do think that having sex in your late teens is important to help develop good relationships as well as personal confidence

And this comes to the virgins age too. If you are 18 years old it's not a big deal. But if you are 40 years old i think you have a problem.

It doesn't really say anything until you reach a certain age, I just see them as socially aqward (awqard? akwaurd?)people, it doesn't make you less of a person, I am a virgin myself, but still young so maybe not the perfect example.

If I met someone in their forties and all I knew beforehand was that they are a virgin, I would assume they're too pathetic to get any. However, all the people I know in person as being virgins are young enough for it to be normal, so I would assume that they will eventully get some.

While I dont look down upon virgins, I still feel that having sex is a pretty great experience. Great as in not only good but big. While it is perfectly fine to live without having sex, it can teach you a lot about yourself and others. And as such, non-virgins bring something to the table that virgins do not.

I don't think of people as such. Being a virgin is not what makes someone who they are. And yes, this is coming from a virgin.
