Cross-legged on my chair. I dunno why. It feels comfortable... And for that reason, my cat tends to nap on the legs on my swivel chair and after nearly stepping on her a few times, I've made a habit of checking for her before I get out and she has a habit of scampering off at sudden chair noises.

I do pretty much every one of those things, besides cross legged. At the moment I am kneeling in my chair...

The way I sit changes constantly. Every 5 minutes or so I move my legs. Usually however, I use the "4 legs" position - but not for too long, otherwise my leg falls asleep and I don't like the "pins and needles" feeling.

I suspect with most people, their posture changes as well. No one has a "default" mode of sitting, we sit how we feel most comfortable, and that changes over time as some muscles become tired and others need a stretch.

Other: All of the above, depending on room, comfortability, etc.

At my computer, I'm generally two legs or four legs.

On the floor, I'm MOSTLY cross legged. Or whatever you want to call it. When I was younger, it was called "Indian Style." Sometimes I sit leaning back on my hands, legs crossed in front of me. I kneel similar to the "avatar" example sometimes, as well, though it's been less comfortable since I tore my quad.

Etc., etc.

Splayed out and relaxed like I own the place. All the time. Unless physically impossible.
In which case I guess I sort of lean forward and rest my arms on my knees.

I'd like to say it makes me look like a total rebel but it probably just makes me look like a fat, lazy prick.

Sometimes in a chair my knees are bent in such a way that my feet are touching the chair legs (or, in the case of an office chair, the one thing the chair legs all connect to) and then one leg crosses the other at the ankles, like I'm doing now. Otherwise, I like to sit with my legs stretched out, but I've got long legs and they tend to bump into things.

Oh, and airplane seats, all scrunched together like that to save space? My legs say fuck you. (My wallet is probably grateful, though.)

All of them and more! Except for two and four legs. Two legs (normal seated position) just feels odd and "four legs" means my legs are spread a bit too wide for comfort. That sounded extremely awkward...

Depends.
If I can, legs wide out and slouching...
Otherwise, two legs :/

Cross-legged or legs crossed for the most part. There are times I'll sit on one leg or in a kneeling position, but those are times I'm trying to mitigate certain pains (doesn't work too often, though). However, there have been rare times I've sat in the strange position of one leg on the floor, one on a desk/table/dashboard.

I sit in the figure-4 with my left leg parallel to the ground and perpendicular to my right leg.

I guess if I'm out in public, it'll usually be legs crossed at the ankles. However at home, particularly at the computer I always feel the need to put my legs up, so I generally sit in a rather peculiar position where I lean back in my chair, with my feet up on the desk in front of me, ankles crossed right beside the monitor, which is maybe 30 degrees to the right of me. My keyboard is on my thighs (which are at the perfect height at this point) and my right arm stretches out to use the mouse on the desk.

Yeah, I'm gonna have such a messed up spine when I'm old *sigh*.

It varies, but more often than not it's ...er, 4legs.

[sup]Did I say that right?[/sup]
