I like it with a couple of spoonfuls of sugar, and a bit of milk/cream. I use good coffee though, none of that burnt Starbucks shit.

This. One of the biggest reasons is that you can always find or make coffee, but milk, sugar and cream are hard to find and take time to put in. So I just got used to going without.xHipaboo420x said:

I think the "single-single", "double-double",...etc. options are supposed to refer to increasing amounts of cream and sugar, but I'm not sure.godfist88 said:

Second choice: 1 sugar, 1 cream/milk/whitener

I definitely prefer black over anything else. One time my friend went on a coffee run and the only choices were "black" or "double-double"... I chose double-double thinking it'd better suit my needs but it was ****ing DISGUSTING! Couldn't even taste the coffee. It tasted like I was drinking liquid sugar. augh. Those 3 options up there are all perfectly good for me, though my preference is in that order.

I don't understand. Are these terms a regional thing, or am I just completely unaware of the coffee lingo? For example, what is cream? Is cream just another term for milk? Because I can attest that cream and milk are completely different products, and I couldn't imagine putting cream in my coffee. I also don't know what the arbitrary numbers multiplied by themselves mean.

Edit: Wait! How is it possible to even put 4 shots of espresso in your coffee?? Wouldn't that require grinding up an entirely new batch of beans for every 2 shots? Otherwise you'd be over-extracting and your coffee would taste like piss... I really don't know what you people are talking about now. Good day to you sirs.
