Platinum Games seem to really love mashing as Anarchy Reigns has it too where if both opposing players fire off a super you have to fight a button mashing tug of war to choose the winner. It wasn't so bad when the game first released as it happened infrequently, but as players got better both at mashing and at using it to their advantage it became tortuously too much that I gave up rather than destroy my pad. Also there were either some really super fast mashers with knackered hands who could win in a split second or they were using autofire. The Wykydtron said:In most standard QTEs it's piss easy. It would be a complete fail on the designer's part if someone couldn't open a door due to their mashing skills being a bit underdeveloped XP
Though I swear some of the boss ones in Bayonetta are ridiculous. In every Jeanne boss fight you get to a mash buttons to counter scenario. You need to mash Y to not get your health bar ruined. You get 450 points instead of the full 500? Lol get fucked.
I don't usually get the shorter Supers to max mashing either, the animation is too quick
