I got a real question: What define a genuis?

Is it mental awareness of one situation or is it the ability to tap into your true mental strength.
It's being able to win at Scrabble.

I'd say less than intelligent myself. I've never been particularly clever, and anytime anyone thinks I'm clever it's because I'm just faking it. I wouldn't say too significantly stupid (I can tie my shoes), but certainly below average.
Very rarely is it that anyone would admit that. I applaud you.

I'd say that objectively I'm only a little above average-Scored a 31 or something like that on my ACT, A honor roll student in high school, 4.0 in college. But I've always felt like I'm smarter than I score, because I could really care less what some arbitrary state-run system says about my intelligence, and the effort I put in has always reflected that.

I have never studied a day in my life and never revised for a test and I still get A and A* grades. I am not an idiot outside of the exam hall either. God I loath humanity...

What's really entertaining is that the average category doesn't have the most people. You would figure that a sample of any number of people that that would be the most filled category. Either a lot of us have false impressions of ourselves or the average on the escapist is above average in the contemporaries.

I think I'm leaning on the geneus side, I feel disdain towards most people at my school, I feel that they are mostly blithering idiots who don't deserve to go to the private school when some people would kill for the place that they have.

I took an IQ test where I got 150 but I dont believe it. I think I'm more stupid than I used to be, (damn you laziness!), but I get consistently high grades so I'll say above average.

I had an idea of making a thread, exactly like this. Just to point out that is basic human nature to think themselves smarter/better drivers/etc. Someone with further knowledge in psychology might be better to elaborate about the things leading to this unavoidable fact like self-image that is always subjective and false.

It's funny how users base their smartness quite solely on school performance and similar stuff.

OT: Smarter than average. Because of what I said earlier and based on my life experience so far.

Slightly more intelligent then average, but intelligence is merely derived from being well read. Genetics might set the bar a a certain point, but that point can be reached by anyone, if they are willing to work for it.

Hmm, I'm pretty good at sciencey stuff, but I don't know much about current events (or even historic events).

I know quite a lot about rocks, if that's a bonus :p

uhm, no idea how i should explain my answer, but i picked harr harr ich bin der genius! (sorry for the bad german, im tired)

I consider myself highly intelligent, mainly because i think my thoughts expand, to a lot bigger things then my surrounding people's thoughts do.
i think my intelligence lies in pondering "The Big Questions" thats everything from life's creation, purpose and wonders,to the reason for human emotions such as love and hate, and many other topics.
i like to think that one day i can be wise enough to write a book on all these giant questions, that not alot of people ask anymore, because they're too caught up in daily problems and joys.

i also think im quite intelligent because my mensa IQ test result was 115, i got 80% in my last maths exam.

now i dont think im a genius as the definition of genius is today, but "a little above average" just wont cut it for me in my own oppinion.

hope this is the kind of answer you wanted :)
