Somewhere between slightly more intelligent than average, and significantly more intelligent that average. Although, it is incredibly hard to quantify 'intelligence', and as such is hard to designate average 'intelligence'.

There are just some people (most people imo), no matter how hard they try can not be "smart." I would say someone who can take information and process it to create new and interesting ideas to be smarter than someone who just spews information they read. The latter are most people who think they are smart because they know a lot but in reality they don't know diddly (did I just use diddly? /facepalm) about what all of it means.
I'm smart enough to realize there are few things I know enough about to have an important opinion on the subject.
When I said "well read" I assumed that those who are well read knew how how be critical of what they were reading, which people should be doing anyway. For example, the difference between reading at an undergraduate level and reading at a grad level is differentiated by how critical one becomes of the material presented and how at the higher levels of education, one can begin to deconstruct certain arguments (and not even in a malicious way, since no one work is going to be able to cover every perspective and most people recognize that), in order to better understand how to construct their own.auronvi said:

I did quite well in GCSE's... very well in A-Levels, and very well at university. Though everyone's coming out with a BSc or BA now anyway, so it's not like I'm above anyone.
Though I do enjoy considering myself as superior to chavs in every possible way. This sentence just took my score down a notch, so I'm going to say more or less average intelligence.

Well, according to a freaking expensive IQ test a while ago, 137. So, that's way above average. You wouldn't be able to tell by looking at me or anything. I keep my GENIUS thoughts to myself. And to be honest, I think IQ is a backward phenomenon. Like measuring the size of the skull. Grossly inaccurate and slightly ridiculous.
