While it is a very good film, I feel since it's the one most people have seen it's the one people claim is the best. Even if they have seen the rest I can still understand but...

The Castle of Cagliostro is far superior to most of those films in his arsenal in my opinion. That, and Princess Mononoke.
I didn't know Castle of Cagliostro was directed by Miyazaki.
I loved that movie.

OT:I really enjoyed Howls Moving castle.
I thought it was wonderful and i loved the characters, but i like Steamboy and Princess Mononoke more.
Kiki's DS was also pretty good and My Neighbor Totoro was a really sweet movie.
Yeah, and if I remember correctly this was before he formed Studio Ghibli.

Interesting.
I loved it, it was like an episode of Lupin the III stretched out to almost 2 hours that never got boring.
I wish i could find it.
Iv actually been wanting to see it again recently.

All I can remember of it was that the guy who voiced Mike from Monsters Inc. voiced some kind of fire. And even that fact might be wrong...
Even so, I seem to remember enjoying the film. Couldn't have been that bad if it left me liking something I can't even remember. Especially since I don't even like anime that much.

It is very, VERY, different than the book it's based off of, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I also thought it was better in the original Japanese if for no other reason than the mispronunciation of the kid's name. His name is not Markle, it's Michael. It's a translation error.

Saw it when I was young, so I can't really comment on it as a lot of things I liked when I was young turned out to be stupid.

If I ever watch it again, I'll let you know.
