I find lesbians are generally more accepted in society because some straight men have the tendency to find it "hot" if I had a penny for every time I heard "Gays are weird, I like lesbians though lesbians are cool" I'd have like... 12 pence, ok not much in terms of monetary value but it's still 12 pence more than I'd have were it the other way round. It does just seem to be the consensus that lesbians are attractive while gay men are dirty and weird and gross and against nature, in my experience anyways.
Although, as a rule, sometimes, I do find lesbians are more accepted by men, and gay men by women. Maybe its down to common ground.

I say girls have an easier time comeing out becuase the being a male dominant world women know they can get an upper hand on men by being sexy and men find lesbian sexy. Plus men are propagandaded with the stereotypes of being straight at a young age while females are left to be free spirited with who they are, this is what I thnk at least.
It's an almost impossible question to answer universally. The question is lacking a where would it be easier.

Maybe its not true, but from my standpoint, it seems that male figures are homophobic, and are taught/raised to be homophobic considering it wrong. A man is just as homophobic to a woman as they are to a fellow man, the difference is that the woman will not be interested in them, so they will feel more accepting of them even though homophobic. Meanwhile the male could have a possible interest, causing the homophobia to kick in as they feel they could possibly be directly invovled in it, and as such it is seen as a stygma.

I would say its easier for women cause they're allowed to feel emotional, while men need to be the rock for that emotional outlet.

That depends on the person really. I know a couple of guys who say that they're suspicious they might possibly be slightly bisexual. They're however extremely vague about it(if that wasn't obvious from my explanation), where as girls don't make such a big deal out of it unless they're, well, homophobes or just don't get it. Also, girls want to be sexy, they want to feel sexy and feel good about themselves - and since girl on girl action is seen as such a hot thing, maybe it's one of the reasons they feel so encouraged to do it. But that's just a theory, I don't know.
I personally view myself as bisexual - girls intrigue me a lot more in form of physical attraction than the majority of guys do(my boyfriend's nommy though). And I've kissed girls, it feels completely fine, so. What I do is however prioritate person/characters before sex/gender/whatever. Of course the sex of the person does matter, but it's certainly not my top priority. That'd be making sure they're not assholes.

You know...it could be biological. In males, there is a theory that Homosexuality is caused by a gene that also makes women more fertile. So the lost offspring from a gay guy not having kids is counteracted by the increased productivity of the sister. If there is a genetic component to female homosexuality, since women don't need to have sex with many guys to reproduce, bisexuality wouldn't really be selected against, if at all.
Personally, I think girls are beautiful, and don't understand why all girls arn't lesbians.

Biggest problem I've encountered is people not taking it seriously. Treating it as a phase. Or thinking when I'm older I'd want to have a baby so badly I'll still end up with a man. It's not nice not to be believed about issues like this. It can hurt almost as much as being insulted for it.

The only issue is as always with old people whose comprehension is limited to... potatoes, anything beyond that is unfathomable.
I'd say its easier, society is more likely to give a big, grinning thumbs up to a bi or lesbian girl than a gay guy.
