I distrust "gangstas". No matter what fucking color they are.
I don't find myself wary of black people. Mostly just awkward. I live in the Midwest in United States and while the high school I went to was a very mixed school--race was never discussed. You could never talk about it. So it becomes this awkward subject that students don't really know how to deal with. White students feel like they can't bring it up without everyone thinking they're racist (even if they have nothing controversial to say about it) and black students don't bring it up because...I dunno why. I only had a couple black friends in high school and race never came up between us. Teachers and staff point-blank avoided it unless we were discussing Civil War or Civil Rights history. There's no openness about race or racism. It was this taboo subject that no one could talk about.
