For most people?
Nothing.
But it's low class.
Maybe, but i'm better low class and have fun than middle/high class and be bored out because I can't do anything fun.

None of this has prevented me from an unfounded distrust of black people.
What?

I'm sorry sweetie, but being afraid of black people is being racist.

I appreciate that you're being honest and all, but it's personal to you. You can't say that everyone's racist because we're not. I for one certainly am not.

Your post is racism in the purest form and no amount of explaining will change that in my mind.

Yeah I am, in the sense I don't trust black people. Kinda hard to when all you see of them is gatherings of 5-10 all wearing white t-shirts and blue jeans.... Something just doesn't seem kosher about that kinda behavior. I judge people on appearance and if you look like a thug I just assume you are. DOn't really have any other minority around here other than mexican Hispanics but they keep to themselves.
i get ya man your not racist your just caring for your safety in a non aggressive way. a im black and i think its very unusual for people to travel in a group of 6-10 wearing identical clothes (isnt that suspicious as hell) they brought that a pun there selves dressing like some type of brigade of wannabe gangsters

Everyone has some kind of prejudiced thoughts (anyone who says they don't is a liar), but the true idea and goal of equality should not necessarily be to eliminate these prejudices (although that would be nice), but rather to keep us from acting on them and not to let them completely influence our treatment of another person.

I wasn't trying to make you pardon me for being racist. I only mean that if I am going to rise above my fear, I must be conscious of it and make a conscious effort to treat black people the way I treat everyone else. I can't stop myself from being afraid any more than a depressed person can will herself into being happy, but coming up with an effective solution means acknowledging a problem first. My only goal here was to get people who are afraid to admit to themselves that they are racist to do so.

easiest way to check if your racist is to watch porn. If you find yourself sickened by one race being in it versus another race being in it, your racist!

Sorry about the loony comment. I'll try to be serious. We all are. you can't help it by denying it. Help yourself by accepting that you have this part in you and attempt to control it from coloring your decisions.
actually....
that seems to make perfect sense- sort of

I thought i was racist because i usually avoided black people in my neighborhood, but then i figured out i don't dislike black people, i HATE anyone that tries to look "gangsta". Its why i don't have a lot of friends nearby.

I've only ever really had one black friend in my life, and since I generally do not interact between many people that are different races (That isnt by choice, of course) I'm just, in a way, made uncomfortable when around them. It isnt racism, its just something im not used to, which I think is understandable.

That's not being distrustful of black folk.
That is being distrustful of fucking "gangsta" scum - people who should be shot on sight, regardless of what color they are under those size 50 pants.
Its sad, because I know people who look at me like im some sort of alien when I say that the above statement should be law.
i dont find it alien thoes people are FUCKING THREATS guns should only be used by cops soldiers and any one who has a permit gangsters are like terrorist and we sit and let them soil our community but cops cant just pop gangsters in the middle of the street so they have to set to arresting them (then kill them)

being half caste black/white has its advantages

such as not being truly racist to anyone.

i say truly racist because im horribly racist to everyone all the time
BUT
if it really came down to it, to something important, i wouldn't be.

is it racism if you highlight differences that are true?

Dont trust whitey...

No but seriously, acting in a different way around people of other races makes you a stupid person, and this i can say compared to me, im white, grew up in an all-white (nothing forced, there just werent any other cultures here) town which caused all my childhood friends to be white, and yes, there are alot of rascism out here, but im not one of them, i have friends of all colors and all religions (yes, ALL religions), and i act the same way around all of them.

So saying that you arent a rascist then not trusting someone because they have a different color is hypocritical as hell, so YES, you are a rascist.

Why does everybody think I didn't say I'm racist? I said that in the title of the thread.

I know it's stupied and immature and insulting and horrible of me, but no matter how much I try, I can't help but being afraid when near black people. My rational mind tells me he is just a person with black skin and all of this, but something instinctive keeps screaming that he is dangerous and violent. I feel aweful.
Apperantly I am a racist, yes.
