If I didn't kno wthat it is simpossible for someone not to dream, I'd see that I don't. I have been told over and over that I do, I just don't remember it, so I, in that case, I have never, ever remembered my normal dreams. Now, the ocasional Nightmare has gotten me, but I forget those as well. I just remember the emotions behind them, unlike dreams, which totally dissapear.

I sometimes remember them, but not too often. I've noticed a trend in when I remember them though. It seems to only happen when It's a dream I'm enjoying and somebody is about to wake me up.

I was thinking about dreaming a week ago... and then I realized that the last dream I had was about 6 years ago. When I was 9.

I was puzzled, as I thought dreaming happens fairly often, but in my case the last dream I had was a night mare, and from then on no more dreams, so I decided for the next week (last saturday to now) I'd have a pad of paper next to my bed with a pen, and if I had a dream, or even a slight feeling that I may have had a dream I'd make a note. Week went by, and I never made that note. Confirming that I don't dream anymore.

Is this normal? Also, do you dream or are you like myself and seem not able to dream.

Woa woa woa, did a mod edit my poll options ?!
That's creepy.

OK OK fine, settle down Science enthusiasts. Allow me to rephrase, I have not recollected a dream in 6 years.

Better?
I don't mean to come off as offensive, but dreaming actually takes a lot of effort. In order to dream you have to spend about 5 minutes every day trying to recall what happened, it can actually be difficult and mentally exerting.

You probably are dreaming, but you just can't remember it.

When I was a lot younger, I did not dream at all - or maybe I just couldn't remember any of them. I was sharing a room with my brother at the time and he confirms that I used to talk a hell of a lot in my sleep.

I didn't start remembering my dreams until I was about 19 years old. Now I have a dream every night and they are often very unpleasant. Not frightening, just unpleasant. All my dreams revolve around deadlines, missing important meetings, forgetting to hand in reports and assessment and sometimes frantically studying for an exam for a subject I already completed.

But yeah, you probably do dream, you just can't remember any of it. Some people have such a condition. It might also be a sign that you aren't getting enough "deep" sleep, which could actually harm you in terms of mental function and concentration.

I'm assuming you mean recollecting dreams, not having them, so I voted sometimes.
I hope to up this number. How you say? Check it.

(lucid dreaming is so cool.)
Nah, lucid dreaming is boring. I've always been able to control my dreams and nothing interesting ever happens unless i stop controlling it and just roll with whatever my brain comes up with.
Kinda like going out to randomly choose a movie instead of staying at home and choosing from your cosy collection. Sure, your own collection might have less scary options and be more comfortable, but it's boring!

How are you coming off as offensive, other then the slightly hidden "You require thinking to be able to dream, there for since you don't dream, you don't think, and if you don't think then you're a retard."

I'm surprised this thread is still going, oh the irony, when I DON'T want a thread to take flight, it takes flight, but when I DO want it to take flight, it does not.

Last night I had a wonderful dream where I had sex with six women, then I had a nightmare that all of them were pregnant.

I always have dreams. Almost every night. And they never cease to amaze me. I usually dont have bad or good dreams, just really wierd ones. I once dreamt that I was being chased by a pink rinocerous in a haunted house

I do from time to time, but most of mine have been pretty stupid as of late. I think my dreams are trying to fuck around with me...

The worst kind of dream is one where I wake up and I can't recollect whether or not what i was dreaming actually happened or was a dream. I have scared my self shitless a few times when I was sure I had just seen a snake in my bed or a guy had just run into my closet with a hatchet. Those are the worst.

The best are like the ones I had the other night. Ive been playing a lot of Bad Company 2 beta and for 2 consecutive nights i have dreamed i was a sniper running around killing people. I had to duel another sniper who was tryin to kill me until I got into a hidden elevated position and shot him in the neck. For some reason, watching him stumble around holding his neck until he bled out gave me a lot of joy. I might be a little messed up in the head.

My dreams are often very strange, they tend to include games and movies I've seen or have been obsessed with recently and fuze that with events and thoughts in my life... and then there's the plain kinky shit that goes on there that makes me think the most when I wake up... such as a phantom no one else can see molesting me.

I dream every night. I've had dreams so beautiful I've woken up crying, and dreams so unmentionably horrible that I've woken up and wanted to kill myself from terror.

It's an interesting facet of the human mind, I'll give it that.

And everyone dreams, some just don't remember it.
Thats crazy. My life now feels really boring

Whoops. Picked a wrong poll option.

I don't remember dreams all that often - once a week, maybe.
