I have enough money to buy one game, and no more so, please, no "Both."
I am a big fan of Mass Effect, and a big Sony fan. Having played Mass Effect one my now bunk Xbox, I was playing through two when it died, I beat it once, and was going through my second play through. I am also a big Little Big Planet fan, and was really excited when I heard about the sequel. I know most of you are saying, "Well, if you beat mass effect two, gt LBP2." Heres the thing, I will get Mass effect 3, and not being able to carry over my own character will piss me the fuck off, so should I get and enjoy Mass effect 2 ensuring that I will have my own character in Mass Effect 3, or should I get LBP2 and enjoy it for a year like I enjoyed the last.

I haven't been paying attention to release dates lately, but I would say if you know you will enjoy Little Big Planet 2 than you should buy that now. In a few months time you can always buy Mass Effect 2 and beat it again, and then buy 3 and be able to play with your own character.

Wish I knew more about LBP to help out. I really don't want to vote because of it. I would say it depends on how much you think you will play ME2. If you are just going to play through it once, maybe twice - I say get LBP. If you think it will have the lifespan LBP will have (I personally love starting a new character in the Mass effect world) I would say ME2 all the way.

They're both out right now, Mass Effect 2 was released today, but I can't buy either one till the weekend.

LBP2 won't have great user content for a few months, get ME2 and pick up LBP2 cheaper later on BOOM

I found LBP1 to be incredibly disappointing, and Mass Effect slightly less disappointing.
I'd say Mass Effect.

Nah LBP2 will be fine, people have had plenty of practice from LBP1 and the LBP2 beta. Seriously the stuff that people were making during the first week of the beta blew my mind, better than anything I'd seen on LBP1.

To OP, I saw you should get LBP2. If you enjoyed the first one for a year then this one could probably last you twice that. At the very least it'll keep you busy until you can get ME2 and 3.

I know the poll (and it seems the thread) keeps leaning toward Mass Effect, but this man poses a point I hadn't thought about, lastablity, Whilst I won't be able to buy Mass Effect 2 for a while, (more than a few months) because I'm saving up for a new PC, I realize that I'll probably play LBP2 a hellavalot more, just because it will be new. Thanks for actually posing a good point.

P.S. As for the "I think LBP1 sucks, disappointment, kiddy" or any other comments like that, please, don't bother. I enjoyed that game, its one of the few games I will never trade in, try and think about what I've posted rather than just how you feel about the games. Personal opinion is not disregarded, but just don't insult my tastes, ok?

LittleBigPlanet 2 for sure. I'm certain Mass Effect is a great game and all, but you simply cannot beat LBP. the original was one of the best games of the decade and this one apprently improves on it in early every way. the level of things you can do is simply astounding. go with LBP2, you'll get far more out of it in the long run

Don't get me wrong, it will be great, but arguably it will only get better with time

Since I have already played ME2 I would say go for LBP2, you know it's gonna have a hell of a lot more replay value soon. ME2 I finished one time and that was about all I wanted to play of the game, I found it got boring rather fast but that's just me.

I'm always weary about buying Bioware games right when they come out because you know eventually they are gonna throw that "game of the year edition" at you. Id say go for Little Big planet 2 or save your money and spend it on much better things due out soon, like The Last Guardian or Pokemon black and white

I personally would either go with saving your money, or Mass Effect 2. Mass Effect is a great game, but I don't know if I would actually buy it. (Got it as a present) My point is, there is much better material out there.

Based on your answer, I would say LBP2 all the way then. ME2's price will drop when 3 is released and you can save a bit then.

From what I hear Mass Effect 2 has more replay value than Little Big Planet 2. I have never played the latter so this is just what I hear from friends.

Save it, wait till both drop in price, maybe start playing more of your back catalog of games that you haven't finished, haven't play in a while, or haven't 100% completed all the way through, and wait till you can then buy both, or until your mind is made up and you don't have to settle.
