Orange Box= they have it for the PS3? SWEEET
NO! DANGER! DANGER, WILL ROBINSON!

Do *not* buy the Orange Box for a console. Especially not the PS3, which was badly ported. Every semi-modern PC should be able to handle the Source Engine. Get it there, it's cheaper, the add-ons are free, the aiming is better, and with Steam you don't even have to go to the store.

The Product that they released for the PS3 was badly copied, it doesn't deserve to be called "Orange Box".

Thanks for that update from a full year ago. They patched it in February.
Really? So you have all the TF2 updates and a free version of Still Alive then?

If you don't like the PC gaming world, Valve titles really just aren't for you, sadly.
Would you be saying that if Orange Box was PS3-exclusive? The game's inarguably one of the best shooters on PS3 all faults intact, and, on a separate note, I've enjoyed quite a few PC titles on console - Half-Life 2, The Sims 2, Deus Ex 2, and Pirates! for Xbox all come to mind, as well as Duke Nukem and DOOM for the N64, among others.

If it were a PS3 exclusive, I would say that the control was sloppy and the coding needs some work, I'd say that TF2 was a waste of disc space given the lack of players and amount of lag, and I'd say that you should hold your money for Resistance 1 and 2, Killzone 2, Bioshock, or one of the shooters on the PS3 that's more well put together.

I'd give it a better but similar review that I would give Haze. It's a shooter, could use some work, there are better shooter options on this console. It would be better than Haze, naturally, because of the storyline and humor.

Who are the people who said Tomb Raider Underworld? What is wrong with you?
I just went on seven different IPs at the library and casted all those votes.

and I'd say that you should hold your money for Resistance 1 and 2, Killzone 2, Bioshock, or one of the shooters on the PS3 that's more well put together.
Even on PS3, I'd rather just own portal than the first Resistance. But hey, just my opinion.

Mmm... you have a point there. Still, Portal would raise the game status to "must rent" at most, I'd think. It's only 2 and a half hours.

Either way, I've made my point. Gamer, be ye warned, Valve products are not happy on consoles.

Ok, I love gaming on the PC, when it comes to my simple rpgs and mmorpgs. Other then that, I absolutely hate it. Why, you ask? Because I have one of the crappiest pcs to date. Hell the other day I simply opened up Firefox and the entire system crashed. This happened three times. I had no viruses either. So, unless it's a point and click game, I will not play it on my pc.

That being said, I'm far better playing FPS and Plat Formers on Consoles. So I will probably be getting the Orange Box for the PS3. I doubt the crappy controls are going to diminish the story at all. On top of that, I've never had problems with any FPS on a console game. Sure you may need to aim in a slightly different way, but it's not hard to do.

Also, I'm going to finally get a PS3, my first next gen console. My plan was to get one of two games, the series that I'm an extreme fan boy of, or a game where I can create a character, and create a level where I can kill him in a multitude of amusing ways. So that rules out FPS, as I'm not a big fan of them. Yes I do rather like unloading all of my ammo into something's head and seeing his brain parts fly off into the distance. However, this gets rather boring for me. Anyone who says, well the multiplayer will save this game, you can stuff it. I don't care to play with people in my town, as they're all a bunch of assholes. Also, the online world seems to attract these bastards faster then a new Nicholas Cage movie.

Anywho, I'm probably going to go and get Little Big Planet, and if I have enough extra coin, spring for Bioshock.

If you want to see people exploding in a number of entertaining ways due to colourful and amusing weapons, might I suggest Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction and Quest for Booty? The RYNO is still the most powerful playable weapon in any game series (Yes, including the BFG and the Blue Gravity Gun)
I don't care what weapon it has, nothing will ever beat the Ivy Sword. Come on, a sword that turns into a whip, then separates into tiny blades? That's just awesome. I played the other Ratchet and Clank games. They didn't click with me. Don't ask me why either. It wasn't that they were bad, they were above most games in my opinion. I just don't like them for some reason. It's like me and superman, he ain't bad. In fact he's quite awesome. However, I hate him.
