I asked my mommy to get me this game, I could/might have it as early as 10:30 tomorrow morning. Or 12:30, or not at all.Kyle1527 said:That based on 49 reviews, with an overall 96/100 score on Metacritic that Skyrim will be GOTY. Tell me if you agree or not.
Jove said:well Spike is deemed by many to be the most credible GOTY award ceremony...Jegsimmons said:gee, dont wait until its released in America before setting the poll.
also, GOTY means nothing because their isnt ONE big widely appreciated award ceremony for games like the Oscars for movies.
and if anyone says spike.....then go jump in a lake.....

It's the difference between being a huge blockbuster movie and actually winning an acadamy award for best screenplay. Sure, MW3 has brand recognition as a decent shooter with a large multiplayer fanbase and prints money like there is no tommorow, but it's nothing all that special. In a year of many good shooters, it might not even take home an award for best shooter.Al-Bundy-da-G said:Skyrim GOTY huh... like to see that but I can almost guarantee Modern Warfare 3 will take the title.
^ Masterfully put, sir. *clapping*Amnestic said:I think it's safe to say...
That you should make your titles more descriptive.
Skyrim will be some people's GOTY. It will not be other people's GOTY. In the future, Bethesda will release a Skyrim GOTY Edition with all the DLC/expansions alongside it. Water is wet, and I look good in a suit.

Let me just say, I'd be really happy if it was GOTY, mostly because that would mean I'm about to have a LOT of fun 5 hours, 15 minutes and 51 seconds from now. I don't think this makes it a sealed deal by any means but regardless it will probably be the game I have the most fun with this year.Kyle1527 said:That based on 49 reviews, with an overall 96/100 score on Metacritic that Skyrim will be GOTY. On the contrary, it's a fantastic example for exactly that reason. Although, if we're going to step back to reality there are just under a billion accounts, not billions upon billions. It is insanely popular because it's convenient, but between security holes, lack of concern for user privacy, and really, really crappy public relations, it's just not a good website. But it's popular anyway. Which proves my point, just because people like it doesn't make it good.Jove said:terrible example since facebook is basically the king of all social networking sites today with billions upon billions of people using it.DiMono said:Just because people like it doesn't make it good. Just ask Facebook.
I don't like facebook because of their lack of stance in privacy but that's just the way it is.
