I'd look on and laugh at America's paranoia over Communism, as I do now. Seriously, the UK doesn't want communism either but we don't wet ourselves at it's very mention xDLot's of generalisation in that last sentence. If it doesn't apply to you, feel free to ignore it, I'm working on my current experience with Americans.
Also, if it was paranoia that caused America to do some sort of pre-emptive strike, I'm with Russia on this one. I don't care if they're Communist, we don't need another abomination of a war like we got with Vietnam.

Before the collapse of the Soviet Union...if they invaded America--unprovoked and were the aggressor--of course I'd fight.

And if they crossed the Russian/Alaskan waterway, they'd be kicking Canada's door in too. So I mean, then you're involving the North American brothers and with Canada--you're involving the Commonwealth (and papa!England doesn't like it when you pick on his commonwealth kids)--not to mention NATO.

Easy, join the Seattle National Guard and get swept up in the retreat and stapled into an Army unit, fall back to Cascade Falls where our SDI scare was based, have a big battle then fall back as one of our units gets nuked, THEN go back on the attack to Seattle where we successfully retake it minutes before a nuclear attack on it whilst at the same time scaring off the incoming Chinese, and when it's finally all said and done, listen to Whitesnake on my buddy's spiffy new portable CD player (which he just found batteries for).

There was a plan for the Soviet Union to invade America. They built 90,000 tanks for it too. But America built a new (new at the time) bomber by the name of B52 and that put an end to that. Well they did sell most of the tanks to Iraq.

To paraphrase Churchill, democracry is a horrible form of government, but it's the best one that we've tried. I've never really understood the fascination with communism, it's a heavily flawed idea that has time and time again shown that it doesn't work, with horrible consequences and high body counts.
