... and really was twice as powerful as the Game Cube[GCN], would the non-casual gamers(like most who post on gaming boards and such) and game developers have been more accepting towards the Wii?
I think so, because it would've made for devs to be able to port games from the PS360 over, with not much taken away during the transition.
It's pretty obvious that the Wii isn't twice as powerful as the GCN, when you compare what the GCN did(RE4, Metroid Prime, REmake, and more, plus graphically superior versions of multiplat games, compared to the PS2 versions), to what the Wii did, so if it had twice as much juice plus HD capabilities, then devs wouldn't...
... or would we still see the same types of casual-friendly games because of the Wii's remote and limited buttons?
It also makes me wonder why devs don't offer up a traditional control scheme for their Wii exclusives. I mean, the Wii allows you to use the GCN controller, so I don't see why the remote is needed all the time. And I'm not talking about having multiple option, i mean only using the GCN controller.
Sorry for straying. Main thing I'm wondering is if the Wii had given a little more power and at least 720p plus more games using traditional controller options, it would just about own the market completely.
