Poll: If you hate X game Company so much

I don't buy games from companies I hate. Sometimes it is hard to avoid though. I'm not a fan of EA but they've consumed so many companies it's nearly impossible to avoid them 100%. So I try to minimize the games I purchase from them. Kingdoms of Amulur is the last game I buy under EA for a very long time. I also don't buy from Bioware or Ubisoft anymore either.

I think the only companies I can actually say I like is Bethesda and CDProjekt.

I don't really hate EA as a company, I just detest their business practices. But yeah, they publish way too much to avoid imo.

This. Origin's terms of service are the only thing that separate me from Mass Effect 3, Crysis 2, and Battlefield 3. It's not that I hate them as a publisher, I hate what they're doing to the digital distribution market.

Other than that, I hate Ubisoft for their outlandish DRM, but hey, they made Red Steel, Prince of Persia and Assassin's Creed. I can't really say no to that.

I don't go anywhere near EA/Bioware and I avoid Ubisoft, as the only thing I enjoy from them is Rayman, yet I doubt I will get Rayman Origins. I don't boycott, I just avoid them like the PLAGUE!

Rewarding the developer is far more productive than spiting the publisher. I swear some people around this site I'm amazed they buy any games with how much hate they spew at publishers and vow never to buy anything they make.

I was using EA as an example. It's tough to see someone go on and on about a game company and how they have scorned them. Don't get mad when people dislike things, when they go overboard it is hard to take. A little to explain without sounding like an ass.

SO many people complaining about X game company and how they were ripped off by them for buying X game on release day.

Its severe case of entitlement, specially after they have been burned a couple of times before.

Well, Ubisoft do punch the players in the vagina with draconic DMR, have been doing it since 2006 and keep doing it (often lying about the upcoming DMR). The CEOs also seem to think that their clients are particulary thick and that all PC gamers are cheap pirates, as an ex buyer and a PC gamer I don't see why to give money to a company that goes out of the way to insult me.

Yeah this is kind of where my feelings are. Yeah EA has bad business practices but they have lots of really good games. You may not want to interact with them once you've bought the product, but the product you bought you're probably going to like.

And maybe I missed something, but to me it wasn't that long ago that EA was just another company, they weren't the horrible demonic bussinessmen that they've become so I feel like something changed. All of sudden they were just making bad decision after bad decision and screwing over their customers.
Like I said, I may have missed something, maybe they've always been this bad and I just didn't realize it, but I'm really kind of hoping that there is just that one guy. You know, that ONE guy who doesn't know what he's doing and he'll die or step down or get kicked out on his ass and someone who does know what they're doing will take his place.

I don't. I don't like Ubisoft and haven't bought an Ubisoft game since Assassin's Creed II, unless you count Beyond Good and Evil HD.

Well... sometimes the company in question makes a game that piques my interest. Activision and Prototype 2 for example.

It should be known that I don't hate Activision or am saying they're terrible developers/publishers. They just don't make shit I like.

generally >.> i tend to focus more on who's making said game rather then who publishing them, unless said publisher is actively preventing the games i want(yes, i AM talking about Capcom how ever did you know?) from even getting past the 'idea' stage. EA might be money grabbing hacks, but they not killing their 'major franchises' for no fucking reason, they are, at least, killing them slowly by making them worse XD.
