It's been said before, but I mean it: I hate the human race. Where you're from doesn't matter. It's enough that you exist.

Yeah everyone is a little bit racist. Not racist in a way meaning they can't be friendly and love members of the opposite race, it's just little ways. I don't see it as "racist". Black people, white people and Asian people all have different culture so there is going to be observations.

God no. I just hate stupid people. Stupid people tend to perpetuate negative racial stereotypes. That's their fault, not mine.

No. People who grow up in heavily cosmopolitan areas tend to not be. Witness multicultural towns in areas around the world (I'm thinking of one in particular in Iraq, home to Sunni and Shi'a Muslims, Kurds, Arabs, Persians, etc.), or areas along very porous borders (I'm thinking certain areas along the U.S.-Mexico border).

Besides, you're mixing up "racism" (hatred of groups outside your own) with "ethnocentrism" (focusing only on your own group).

I haven't noticed myself being racist. The more I think about it, the less sense racism makes. It's the same for each and every group of people, some are assholes, some are not, I don't really care of what descent you are.

I here a lot of theories about human interaction. One that I hear a lot states that every person is inherently racist, or biased towards their own race, even if just a little bit.

My question to the Escapist is:
If put like that, then yes. It's natural to want your own tribe, clan, whatever, to succeed where others do not.

Yeah, I think everyone is a little racist. How can you not be? Even without racial stereotypes, black people usual DO have bigger noses, Asians have slanted eyes, and Mexicans are short. There are such big differences between the races that you can't really say they are all equal.
Indentifying racial traits isn't actually racist you know? What makes someone racist in that situation would be if they treated them any differently to anyone else because they were of a different racial background...

OT:

I know I'm not racist, I don't act upon any prior judgement made towards a person based solely on their race. I do notice stereotypical behaviour and I do enjoy a racially stereotypical joke or two (who doesn't?). But I'd never outright discriminate someone because of their skin colour etc...

That's not to say I don't still distrust certain groups of people... Somalians, for example, I have only met one Somalian who wasn't rude or disrespectful to me for being White, so forgive me if I don't care if you get nuked or have never-ending civil war...

I try to not be racist, but I don't always think before I speak, so some things I've said could be taken very offensively.

We're not racist, we just enjoy the odd race joke every now and then.

No, trying to come up with justification for hating other humans beings is stupid. Arguing that it's instinct is stupid as you can overcome instinct.
Oh rly? keep your eyes open while you sneeze, i dare you. Instinct is hard wired into part of our brain completely separate from our cerebral cortex (creative thinking part) you cant over come certain instincts unless you cut out your "animal brain", and good luck living after that. Also you cant overcome anything happening in your sub conscience, because YOU WONT EVEN KNOW ITS THERE.

sorry but your post was just....wrong.

I think that since race is such a visible part of people, that we go through our lives unconsciously noting how people of each race are apt to act. We do the same with people's clothes (what would you think of someone wearing a Twilight shirt without ever meeting them?). These presumtions are natural. They may not be morally right, but they're part of our species.

Some of us humans don't recognize race beyond physical appearance, which usually boils down to what one finds as sexy. Every other reference to race must be destroyed by the awareness of what you are thinking when you encounter any racist idea that has been hammered into your brain by society.

It's interesting to hear the responses of a nearly all young white male demographic talk about racism and its proliferation.

To answer the question, yes.

*clears throat and sings* Everyones a little bit racist, sometimes. Doesn't mean we go around committing hate crimes. If we all could just admit, that we are racist a little bit, mabe everyone would stop being so P.C, and maybe we could learn to live in harmony.

OT: I am really very racist. The 100 meters, the 10k, the marathon, I hate them all.

Yes. Everyone is a little bit racist. Also, for those who said no, you are more ignorant than the people who are racist!
EDIT!: Dammit sorry miss read the question.

African American are REAAAAAALLY racist. You have no idea.

I try not to be, but every time they rob us, shoot out our windows, or kill each-other outside our store, it's hard not to let a few hate-filled thoughts pass through.
