Poll: Is It Weird When Men Love Cats?

I don't think so, at least i hope not. I've always been a cat person, even when the rest of my family hated them. Now i have my own place and i have my own cat, Ta-Kun.
I adore my cat, we hang out together and give each other stupid looks.
My girlfriend is also quite the cat person, having two of her own, and i think my feline ownership only gives us another thing in common.

Every cat looks like they're scheming for household domination.

They start of as cute little fuzz-balls, so that you don't run them through with a spear, and by the time their evil begins to show, they've already corrupted your soul so much that you can't see it.

I'm a dog person myself. Working dogs (or sheep dogs) are a personal favourite (all of my dogs have been cross breeds of sheep dogs).

OT: Cats are creepy and are only loved because they are 'fuzzy, wuzzy adorable', which is not a very masculine reason to have a pet. So yes, it is weird when men (the gender, not the sex) love cats, because it is so very contrary to the rest of their image.

I've got to say that there are more reasons to love a cat. They're just good companions in general. My cats have always been more loyal to me than my dog. Instance: I get sick, nap on the couch. My dog raids the kitchen and eats everything. My cat curls up next to me and cleans my hair

quite. i never heard of it as weird to like cats. its just a bit annoying since so many of my friends are allergic to them in specific.

but seriously, cats rock. all ya gotta do is scoop their crap once a week or so, and feed em twice a day. except when they aren't litterbox trained, but the crap is so small it doesn't matter.

it especially rocks that my neighbors have cats, and my female cat is a whore. after the first planned litter with our male cat (who was neutered soon after), our female cat whore'd herself out to a neighbor's cat the next year and we had ANOTHER 4 kittens. they are SOOO Cute!
seriously, on birth, they are no bigger than the average man's index and ring fingers together. THEY SOOO CUTE! no matter how many times ya say that they are cute, it does not diminish the meaning.

this too. they always keep me company. my cat just hopped into my lap as we speak. i just find they make good company. and the fact that they are soft and cuddly certainly is a bonus. also, some dogs i find are just too big, so when they come to relax with you (as many do im sure), it feels like they are dominating you, while cats are like a pillow that can walk and purr, which feels really nice when they sit on your balls (which mine seem to like to do)

A guy would kind of have to love cats for me to like him. I have a little kitten and he's pretty much my baby. I love it when guys can play and cuddle and coo over cats too, dunno why it's just completely adorable when they do.

Im a dude, and total cat person, i have had a cat for 11 years and love it to death, nothing odd about it. I like dogs but in the end a cat will always win. Besides whats better than an animal that can take care of itself nine times out of ten?

I've always preferred cats to dogs.

Cat's don't require any training and are much quieter and far less annoying than dogs. A cat doesn't need to always be with you to be happy.

Also, they're so soft and cuddly!

I am a straight male, I've been accused of being hyper-masculine... and I generally love cats.
I tend to love dogs more (except for the little yappy kind, I dislike those), but I still love cats.
