Nothing quite beats playing my favourite game and having a cold one or two...well that?s what I think...
Some of my friends think its rather weird, while some agree. What do you guys think? Is it wrong to have a drink while enjoying a game, film or whatever?

Obviously I don?t mean sitting in the fetal position, in the dark, swigging a bottle of whisky...just a few beers.

Its only wrong if you find George Thorogood uncool, which is impossible.

To put it bluntly, It sure is freaking boring to drink on your own, let alone doing it solo whilst playing games, 'course I'm talking about heavier stuff. One or two beers isn't bad.

I don't see anything wrong with it. As long as you aren't drinking to excess, of course, in which case there is something wrong and you need to get yourself down to an AA meeting stat. But the odd beer or two when watching a film or playing a few rounds of Halo 3? Nope, I've done that myself and it's perfectly fine, methinks...

It's rather depressing, if you're on the outside looking in.

But being drunk is being drunk, so whatever.

I don't see what's wrong with it unless like you said your curled up on the floor, then maybe it's a tad excess. I'd like to see someone curled up on the floor try to play a game to be honest, it could provide entertainment.

Nope not a problem at all...granted there's more fun to be had when drinking with others but get a tape recorder and listen to yourself drunkenly babble things the next day and there's some fun to be had

No its fine, as long as you aren't getting completly smashed on a daily basis. I personally would rather drink with people but to each their own I suppose.

I personally cannot drink alone. Drinking is fun with friends etc (or rather, fun stuff happens when you're drunk), but when there's just no one around me - I just don't feel like it.

Besides that, my family seems to have strong addiction genes (lot's of smokes and alcohol addicts, thankfully not drugs). I really don't want to join that group, so I don't smoke and I'm not buying alcohol, with the exception of parties and pub escapades with friends.

Definitely not. If you're having a one or two drinks, and you happen to be alone, that's fine and not wrong at all. If you're getting completely plastered alone, well, there could be something wrong with you.

While I avoid it myself, I don't think there's anything wrong with drinking alone, as long it's in moderation. I do think it's wrong to get drunk alone.

Son of a...

I came to this thread with the sole purpose of posting that video :p

OT: I think drinking alone is a little sad. I mean if you're drinking for the taste, fair enough I guess, but getting drunk alone, well that's just one short step from full blown alcoholism as far as I can see.

Not really i do it a bit as well but i think if you get blind drunk then yeah its a bit weird, hangovers are more fun with people to share them.

... No? I can't understand why anyone would think that it's wrong.

Is it wrong to eat a bowl of cereal alone? A chocolate brownie? Garlic bread?

Seems like a silly issue to me.
