I have heard a lot of debate over this topic, and I want to know what the general consencus is. If you consider Minecraft a game, then what justifies it, and if not then what is it instead?
Don't forget a tower defence game.DasDestroyer said:Yes. It can be an adventure game, it can be a spelunking/exploration game, a hack and slash game, an fps, and, or course, a huge sandbox game. The lack of a specific goal doesn't make it any less of a game.
I'd say more of a defend your castle game, since a tower defense game usually involves enemies trying to get from point A to point B, while your towers take them out.linwolf said:Don't forget a tower defence game.DasDestroyer said:Yes. OT: Yes just becouse you have to find a goal yourself doesn't make it any less of a game
I wouldn't say that since the majority of people here disagree with Yahtzee saying it isn't a game.Romidude said:A case of Yahtzee worship here, he says it isn't a game, suddenly now we care about this notion.
