I don't really get the comparison either, I'm just comparing them because most everyone else does. I was going to just make it into if you like Prototype or not.

Oh and about the demo thing, I didn't like the demo for inFamous, but the actual game is fantastic, and I thought the Prototype demo was good, but I don't know about the actual game.

So according to you, because everyone else is comparing, you're totally justified in also doing it as well. In his conclusion article with the pictures, he says they aren't really all that similar. Would you rather play a game with moral choice that only gets chosen once or just totally screwing up the world in the coolest ways possible?

They're both worth getting, if you want, just buy one now and then pick up the other later.

Oh yeah, and the other reason I'm comparing them, is because Prototype's the only other game I'm interested in.

prototype is far better than inFamous, it has better powers and weapons, a better city and a much better collectables =]

No its not better than inFamous. The story is ridiculous and poorly put together. You don't really have a choice to do anything in that game, despite choosing how you get from point A to point B. There is no moral choices or any to be completely honest.

inFamous is far from perfect but its a more fulfilling experience.

Why do so many people compare these two games only anyway?

I have played a bit of Prototype though, and from what I played from my friend's copy it was really fun. I'd suspect that it's even better with friends, when you sprint through a crowd and everyone gets tossed about, all while you're carrying someone and strangling them at the same time. Then you run up to a really high building and decide whether to toss them off or consume them.

Ahhhh, bloody fun.

Though I saw a trophy where you get it by completing the game while killing only 10 citizens. How the hell is that possible!?!?!

It's not for killing only 10 civilians. That would be impossible, as you go through the game just walking down the street results in hundreds of innocent lives lost. You have to consume 10 or less civilians. Much easier.

And you discover the true fun of that game once you upgrade a little bit. Punching someone's torso off, ripping through crowds with a giant arm blade, grabbing someone, going up to the highest building and dropping them down to the ground with the force of a billion cannonballs. All fun.

Oy, good, much easier.

Though I don't like how every time you consume someone, they start screaming "No no NOOOOO!@#!@" or "OH GOD!@!#" or start agonizing and screaming. It makes me feel squeamish when I hear that. And just imagine what it would be like to all of a sudden be grabbed by someone, then punched through your chest, smash your face in, then being consumed. GOD that'd be horrible...

When you said that they start screaming, my decision was made, I want this game!!!! It sounds awesome.

inFamous kicked ass, but I like it when a game ha over the top gore in it. Not that its better, but it's still cool to see.

I wounder what Jack Thompson thinks about this game.

You'd hate the consume animations where you:

1)Rip them in half than absorb them.

2)Stab them with your blade arm repeatedly than absorb them.

3)Smash their face in than absorb them.

And it goes on like that.

That's what I was describing. Though I always laugh my ass off when I see the body start to flop around Mercer's body, it's like he flushed them down a toilet or something

There's about 20 hours worth of missions, a few side activities, but the real fun is the free roaming destruction, and the small wars you can start against the military and zombies.

The way i look at it i haven't played either and neither is probably better if one single game was better then everyone would buy it and other games would fade from existence, if pushed I'd buy prototype cause i don't have a PS3.

If you want something with gore, than you may want to splurge and just get Prototype.

Infamous is definitely superior to Prototype but I have to say I enjoyed the hacking, slashing, clubbing, whipping, and devouring of Prototype a little more. But that's just my personal preference.

Just got back from Gamestop and I bought Prototype. They had a sale and it was 40 bucks. Haven't played it yet, but if its got at least 20 hours of gameplay, it'll be worth it.
