I am 14 and I listen to older punk bands like The sex pistols, Dead Kennedys, SubHumAns, Anti-Nowhere League, Bad Religion, The Adicts, Suicidal Tendencies, The Germs, and a lot of other bands. I also Listen to Oi like The Cockney Rejects, Blitz, and a lot of others. and it seems punk now is hung up on fashion, but what I wear is usually a band t-shirt or a button up, old millitary clothing, Doc Marten boots and a belt or braces(suspenders). And I hate all the the specially made mass produced clothing with all the straps and chains called punk. Oh and Ska too I listen to Ska.Punk is not dead, its stuck in a basement while someone impersonates it
Pretty much all the bands you mentioned, as well as a few you didn't are pretty much the soundtrack to my kitchen. I've had an Iggy tape in my truck for about two years, and most of my music at home is Punk. Most of my friends and co-workers still listen, but it's just like any music genre. As it gets older, less people listen to it. Tjhere will always be people who think that Green Day was and is the only good punk band, [sup]Cough[/sup]but there will always be people like us too.

To me, punk is a way of thought, and the music that goes along with it. marketing "uniforms" and saying punks should only dress in the styles Hot Topic and the like dictate is just...laughable. Punk to me is about individuality, not, "hey, look at my chains. Aren't I offensive to the general populace?" One of the most punk dudes I know goes to work everyday with his tats covered and his hair combed, but he's still more punk than 3/4 of the "punks" I see on a regular basis.

I don't listen to punk, real or otherwise (especially not otherwise, as Green Day and their ilk are the musical equivalent of a kick to the jewels).
