Uh, Eurasia? I considered that the 'both' option. But you were too busy picking holes in my thread to notice.Srdjan said:Both....
But you was busy putting stupid things in poll to put this option.
This is very off topic, but DOH, my hometown is too small to show up on this map =(Novskij said:Ok lets me explain it to ya.
On this here map, we see the Ural Mountains.
Everything west of the Ural mountains is Europe.
Everything east of the Ural mountains is Asia.
Most people who are actual descendants of the Russians live in the European part(West of the Urals) of Russia(West side of it).
The Old Russian country/kingdom was only situated west of the Urals (European part of Russia).
Infact, anything that is east of the Ural mountains is pretty much conquered countries that had no russians before they were conquered.
Learn this once, and for all.
Europe and Asia is really only one continent. So Eurasia is the only "right" choice to pick.Ninjamedic said:Uh, Eurasia? I considered that the 'both' option.
True it's in both, or you could just say it's on Eurasia because it spans so much. Eurasia could also be considered it's own continent.Furburt said:From what I hear, it's in both. There's European Russia and Asian Russia.
For convenience, it's usually grouped as part of Asia.
If so, what else is in eurasia?Cody211282 said:True it's in both, or you could just say it's on Eurasia because it spans so much. Eurasia could also be considered it's own continent.Furburt said:From what I hear, it's in both. There's European Russia and Asian Russia.

That is a good point, I can only think of Russia being considered to be there.Ninjamedic said:pope_of_larry said:eroasia (as the tectonic plate is called) if you wanna talk geology
or both if you talking politically
but most of it is in AsiaThough what else is in eurasia?MellowFellow said:I've always considered it to be in Eurasia. That sounds cooler too.
Its the country as a whole that is a little confusing.zala-taichou said:The piece west of the Urals is in Europe, the rest is in Asia. Same with Turkey: west of the Bosporus is in Europe, the rest is in Asia. Is it really that difficult? Countries don't deal with continents.
Kazakhstan (is it spelled right?) would be another possible Eurasian country.MellowFellow said:That is a good point, I can only think of Russia being considered to be there.Ninjamedic said:pope_of_larry said:eroasia (as the tectonic plate is called) if you wanna talk geology

I stand corrected.MaxMees said:Europe and Asia are continents. Eurasia is a tectonic plate, not a continent.Vault Citizen said:Speaking geographically Europe and Asia are part of the same contininent (Eurasia).
And I hope all the people saying Eurasia read this, Eurasia is NOT a continent or place, just the name of a plate
See?
