Unless someone from the school or the catering company actually held a gun to your sister's head and force-fed her the meat (whatever the hell meal it actually was), your sister in some manner or another, CHOSE to eat that meat.
Everyone should be able to eat whatever they want (Ok. Maybe not EVERYTHING). I was thinking of going vegetarian myself. And its no problem considering they serve vegetarian food at our school.
She was not forced to eat meat. Your mother can't seriously hope to sue a company because her daughter choosed to eat meat.
Also, does your mother force you and your sister to be vegetarians? Is it her wish for you to be vegetarians and has such she pushes her beliefs onto you? Or did you yourself made the choice to be vegetarians?
This sounds like a case of "My mum forces me to do X, but I'm going to do B because it's my choice to do B, not my mothers."

If someone choses not to eat meat then they cannot excpect everyone ecverywhere they go to adjust to their habbits.
You can't excpect every school/cafe/etc. to serve everything from "restrictive stuff" like vegetarian, kosher and halal to diet food like atkins menu and other stuff like that.
What about people who are just picky with their food? should they sue as well if the school didn't have anything they like? if not then what makes vegies/relegious rules different?

OP, we need more detail, how exactly did the school or catering company force your sister to eat meat?
From the limited information available, i would say yes it is wrong to force people to eat meat, for reasons regarding personal autonomy. Complain to the school, but sueing the catering company seems, with the limited information we have, to be a bit overboard.
