Ugh... wow.

It doesn't look nearly as bad as I thought it would look.

Then again, the ridiculous haircuts, absurdly massive swords, and fully grown men prettier than most women are still there, and they've some of my bigger peeves with Final Fantasy, but Enix get points simply for abandoning the fucking Paradigm system.

So one minute the best looking guys from the goth club are on a road trip whinging about how they need to take a piss or their asses are sore from all the sitting, the next they're pulling over to the rest stop area and *WHAM* the LSD kicks in and they're killing a kaiju and a squad of super-soldiers.

I thought this stopped happening in the late 80s.

Like others have already said, I love the modern aesthetic and the "Best. Road Trip. Ever!" vibes the trailer gives off. On the other hand the gameplay may or may not be up to modern standards, and I really would be more interested in playing it if it was four women going on this Road Trip of Awesome - without any on the nose changes to make the characters more girly - and not the Jpop band.

At least the girl in the trailer was cute.

Imagine Anita is watching this and rubbing her hands at the idea of making another vid due to all four characters being male. Its a damn sausage fest......i bet even the monsters are all male. lol.
Ironically, those "sausages" are really there as fanservice for female players.

When I saw the title of this thread I read it twice, while I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting when I clicked here a FF discussion wasn't it.

FF hasn't really done it for me for a while now. I don't dislike the concept or even some of the actual gameplay, but FF always feels like it's making me do chores before I'm allowed to have fun.
