Couldn't this just be replaced by entering the number of ABBA albums you own?

'Scientific' methods like this make me want to gouge out my frontal cortex with a dessert spoon.
It's not claiming to be scientific, and I didn't put the poll here for some scientific results. This is a gaming forum, there is no intensive for everyone to vote. It could be skewed in a million ways. Sexuality is hard to define.
I have 8 poll options. This seems like a fairly good system to get a base idea of the sexual scope with the limited resources. But thanks for the input.

I'm a 1. For the most part, the male body just doesn't appeal to me, but there are just some guys, y'know?

But surely you're either attracted to, or not attracted to members of the same sex.
That's the kicker, isn't it? If you were surrounded by men all the time, would your wish to be with a man outrank your wish to be with a woman?

Or would you be willing to settle for one over the other.

People fluctuate as I have said, and people evolve. But you can generally find a place. Some people sit between numbers, because the scale is very crude (and I only have 8 places to put up voting options :3)
I know of some people who try to be a 0, while internally acknowledging a 5, and so fake being an X. Like most scales, it's very dependent on How/When/Where you're measuring as well as the What.

Interesting. Most males in this thread claim to be either exclusively heter or homosexual, while females seem to be spread across the scale.

I'm either a 1 or a 2. I'm straight, and I tend to act 'close' to my male friends, but I only do it because it creeps them out, which to me is hilarious.

Either 5 or 6. I'm not sure if the VERY few times I've been attracted to women would be enough to call incidental. I'm not even sure it was derived from physical appearance as I just really liked them as people. So, mostly if not all gay.

Then they're a 5.
It's not the scale that's broken in this case, it's the people who refuse to understand or accept their own sexuality.

I also do that... but I'm not attracted to them. I do it because it's funny.

I'm an X, but I do find certain guys pleasing to look at (they don't make me aroused, though, and I wouldn't want to do anything sexual with them). Women don't do anything for me.

But surely it's their own understanding of their sexuality that demarks them from a 3 in all cases anyway?

We're all capable of expressing love to any gender - it's just based on our preferences. Hence all the shenanigans. You're telling me you didn't pull the hair of the boy/girl you fancied in primary school? ;)

0 fer sher. Never felt any sexual feelings for other guys. When I was like 7 I wanted to marry my best friend Max and I had a semi-gay dream about 2 weeks ago but other than that nothing; I've only dated/wanted to date/have sexual encounters with girls, and I'm quite happy with my girlfriend; even though it's LDR currently I can really see it becoming srs bsns in the future with her.

She's probably like a 1 or a 2 though, so that could be interesting.

When I see a good looking guy I don't think "man, I would love his phallus down my throat" but rather, "damn, he probably gets more babes than me".

Wow, what an extremely personal question. But it fits well within the "things I share with random people when I'm not using my real name or face" group.

I'm pretty soundly in the X department. But if I were not... I'd be a 3... maybe a bit on the 4 side.

Slightly between 1 and 2. I saw slightly because I don't actually fit the Kinsey scale. I'm heterosexual biromantic, which for those who don't know (and haven't seen me waffle on about it before) means that although I have no sexual feelings towards men, that doesn't preclude me from a romantic relationship with them.

It was actually a comment on these very forums that summed it up best. 'When you want to have sex with Stephanie but get a hug from Stephen, you'd biromantic heterosexual.'

Hm, I suppose it is, but I mean that that person refuses to even try to understand, that they haven't even bothered. They refuse to accept it. It's less that they've come to understanding that they think they're a zero, it's that they haven't wanted to understand that they're a 5, they want to be a zero.

As for the second part. We can express love to bricks, but not be attracted to them. I did not pull the hair of the girl I liked during primary school. I chased her around a bit though :3

I'm not sure what you mean by preference, but I have only ever been attracted to women. I've spent plenty of time with straight guys. My entire life basically up until the end of highschool, where I found a few girls I liked. I now hang with them, and their (who are now my) friends -almost all of which are girls of varying sexualities and gay guys. I talk to them all, but I have never once been attracted to a guy. I never really thought about it until lately, it's just something that I am. So to have conversations such as this I suppose I'm fairly out of my depth in terms of understanding, I see everything as fairly solid, but I also notice that there are plenty of people (like my girlfriend) who haven't been sure where they sit.

PFffffffffFFFFFFffffFFFffFfftttt.
It's all good to talk about anything. Nothing really matters to me. Ask me any question and I shall probably answer it. Why would anyone have anything to hide when it comes to sexualities?

As a machine, I reproduce by production-line. It drives our nuts-n-bolts firm and fixed watching the read-outs and hearing the rhythmic noises of a well-oiled manufacturing facility.

There is this scene in Terminator that is just way too hot and steamy for a PG13 movie.

I'm at 0, because the idea of me with another guy kind of grosses me out. That doesn't mean I'm against Homosexuals or Homosexuality, I'm simply against me doing Homosexual acts.

Besides, women are hot.

I find other women attractive, and often more so than men, but I've never found a woman I felt sexually attracted to so I guess I'm a 1 :/

I consider myself a 4 on the scale. I believe the scale is at least a better thing to use than say black and white your gay or your not, OR the even worse, if your gay your evil type of thinking from various religions.
