People, you have to remember, Kryptonians simply HAVE their powers, while Saiyans have to learn their powers. Goku didn't fly until he was an adult. I'm going Kryptonian because I'm lazy.

Saiyans generally get cooler gear, have awesome physics-defying invulnerable hair, and blood-rages actually make me stronger. In addition to racial super powers, I can learn other techniques, as evidenced by Goku learning the Instant Transmission. A nerd am I! Yes, Superman once got to simply make up super powers, and 95% of them were lame. Besides, Superman may be able to punch mountains in half, but by the time I hit super-saiyan, I can destroy a small world with ease.
Also, tail, can be conditioned so it's no longer a weakness, and giant monkey form can be controlled. Zero weaknesses. Awesomeness all around.

It's kinda uncanny how similar their histories are, their powers, hell, even their villains are cut from the same cloth (Freeza and Darkseid are really, really similar).

As for which I'd rather be... I guess Kryptonian, but it's a damn close race.

Kryptonian, I would just prefer the normality of being in the modern world with superpowers. Also the fact I enjoy Superman more than DBZ, which don't get me wrong I do enjoy.
I'm gonna have to go with my main man Supe's on this one. Plus when you're a Kryptonian, you can fly right into the sun, that's pretty awesome. Just as well, when you're a Kryptonian you're always at full power, you don't have to "Charge" or yell as if your about to give birth to 6-ft tall wolverine or actually Wolverine. That's another things I didn't like about anime, was that the character always got stronger, there was never a set bar there was always another level to unlock. To me, a good character should have a SET strength level, if their new to the whole super power thing, than by all means, I will accept the discovery of new powers, but you can't expect me to believe you when you write," Oh he's at his strongest, NO WAIT, THEIRS A STRONGER ONE!!!" No, no their isn't. He stays at one level of power indefinitely.
Funny it seems like a lot of people are not aware of all of Supermans powers or all of the Saiyans weakness's. They just assume Saiyans are stronger. Saiyans can't even survive in space. They definitely don't have X-Ray an Microscopic vision. Or the enhanced Intelligence though I dunno if that's a Superpower or just Superman himself being smart.
Lets not forget the kicker either is that to be that strong you have to train your ass off as a Saiyan. You don't see their training routine often but I remember seeing Goku doing thousands of push ups upside down on one finger. Most of the people here wouldn't do that an would end up a fat Saiyan computer nerd. lol
But if your Kryptonian you just walk outside an feel the sunshine an boom super powered. Oh also humans in DBZ universe have most of the same super abilities besides transformation. Even Krillin could probably destroy a planet surprisingly enough. Which is freaking scary I wouldn't want to live in DBZ universe you would never be safe some mook might blow up the world at any time haha.

I don't have to anything to get my powers, A Saiyan must train 24/7 for decades to get anywhere near the mid-level Saiyans in Dragonball, never mind the main characters, and getting stronger when they almost die isn't a positive thing, the downside to that is you almost die! Who wants to get beaten to an absolute pulp several dozen times in order to become marginally more powerful, and what is to say that the bad guys won't just finish you off?
2. I don't really plan on leaving the solar system (why the heck would I?) so going away from my yellow sun isn't a problem,
Being a Saiyan is a life of dedication and pain, being a Kryptonian is a life of Twinkies for dinner and having bullets ricochet off your chest simply because the sun decided to come up today (or any time in the last couple of months)

Personally, I'd rather not be either or at least half-saiyan or half-krytonian, because there is something to be said for 'intelligence under pressure' that is so underrated for the human race, especially in this new rehash of Superman they are doing, from what I've heard. If he cannot punch it or throw it into the sun, he is stumped so hard, same goes for fullon Saiyan (not just Goku, Vegeta and his whole race are guilty of this.)
Also superpowered beings are usually weak vs obscure illnesses, like kryptonite (but it also gives cancer, poor lex) or that heart disease Goku got, both of these required some intelligence to overcome, usually not on the part of Superman of Goku.
