Left handers had to suffer through oppression as they were forced to write with their right hands. Left-handers are forced to live in a right-handed world. ie cars power tools, scissors and most importantly keyboards are mostly designed for right-handed people. How do you feel? Do you care? Either way, I want to know the percentage population of left-handers on the escapist. It's said left-handers are more creative and better at algebra, but live shorter lives - possibly due to right hander power tools.

Your opinion?

Edit: Btw Im left-handed. Also no jokes about how your right-handed but use for left hand for alone time.

I thought it was interesting that there was a really good rock band at my highschool and all the members were left handed.

I'm right-handed. I do think that more things should be designed for left-handed people though.

Right-handed. Though apparently I eat like a left-hander (fork in my right hand, knife in my left), but nearly every other right-handed person I know does the same thing so whatever.

And I feel no sympathy for you left-handers. It's awkward using scissors, you need to buy special ones? Boo-hoo. And I severely doubt that which hand you use affect your creativity or lifespan.

I'm a lefty, through and through. And yes, most things are designed for righties. The only area where that really cheeses me off is the guitar department (being a bassist). Barring a specialty store (of which there is ONE in the US), there'll usually be between three and no left-handed guitars in any given music store.

Also rather annoying is the notion that the only difference between a lefty and righty guitarist is that a lefty _learned_ on a left-handed guitar. Which is bupkis, frankly.

And the left-handed rock band sounds awesome. Imagine Hendrix on guitar, McCartney on bass, and.... I dunno, some guy drumming.

Aww poo... you're left handed... do you use left-handed pencils and notebooks? How about a left-handed cup? Left handed fork? There's nothing different about you. You just use a different hand that the majority of other people. Why do people complain and make left-handed things that should be ambidextrous?

I realize this isn't a complaint thread. You asked for my opinion and that is it.

All I'm going to say is a 14 year old boy with an internet connection needs his right hand to operate the mouse and one hand free.

Honestly, if a mod is reading this.. what do you think of a stickied thread that is called "Everything about you", that is one giant questionnaire that everybody fills in. Like some kind of super-profile.

We could fill in all kinds of uninteresting details like:
"Where do you live?"
"What car do you drive?"
"How many pairs of shoes do you have?"
and
"Are you left or right handed?"

That way we could probably kill off about.. hmm, 3 billion threads.

I'm right handed.

Fun Fact: While eating I like to switch the cutlery from hand to hand. No one seems to notice.

Left handed for writing, although in infant school my teacher taught me that I write with my right, so directions always take me twice as long to figure out...

You left out Ice cream preferance as well as current items on your desk (so that people can update their response daily)

Being left-handed is not just about which hand you use. Im pretty sure that left handed people have right side of brain dominant or something. Im not a neuroscientist but it affects stuff besides which side of the plate the fork is on. Something like the last 5 out of 6 presidential elections have been won by left-handers although I don't know if that's a positive or a negative to being a left-hander.

Gimme a break. Even if you are not interested, that doesn't mean that no-one is and even if I am the only person. I have the right to make as many boring topics as I like while following the forum rules.
