Still, I watched the trailer a couple of months ago. Tried to, anyway. Stopped halfway due to embarrassment, but, as with all movies, I hope this movie will somehow turn out good.

This is up there with His Dark Materials on my "Bullshit Anti-Christian" Meter.

Frankly, everything looks nice except for the massive amounts of Fridge Logic involved in this movie.

* Uh... Why guns? They have heaven-swords.
* Uh... Why are they possessing people? They're angels.
* Uh... Why do they look more like zombies than angels?
* Uh... Why does this post need to contain so many ellipses from the viewing of ONE PREVIEW? I'm not one to comment on the quality of a movie before it's out, but if any trailer can tell you a movie's going to suck it's this one.
* Uh... If God's the one wiping out humanity, does that make the woman's baby the Antichrist?
* And the big one... If this is the Abrahamic God, why the FUCK would he wipe out humanity? It breaks everything about God that has ever been declared. He is gong against his own Word. He has changed his mind and wants to destroy those he cared for as children for so long. Seriously, the level of shit he appears to be dropping to puts him almost lower than Satan. If you cast someone from your domain for shitty behavior, and then find yourself committing worse shitty behavior, I think it's time for a good old fashioned "Does not compute" explosion.

In fact, hold up. That's a good plot twist right there: Make it so that God has nothing to do with this; everyone is just being deceived by Satan. Even the TRAILER makes it look like that's completely impossible, but if that ends up being the twist this movie would go up two letter grades instantly in my book.

I just find these comments kind of funny but wanted to answer some points...

* I agree with you on this point it looks like a B-Movie.

* After the flood it is said that the world would never be flooded again, as is the promise of the covenant of the rainbow. However what was not declared was that God would never try to destroy humanity again, as is obvious with all the predictions of an apocalypse with revelations if you believe in the whole apocalypse sort of thing.

One thing I think people fail to realize is that when it comes to a God like being. Why would this God operate on the same level of morality? Would it be genocide for God to flood the earth? Or in being God can you be anything but right?

I retract my statement about the whole possession thing, I missed the cop possession first time around. though they ruined any semblance of this plot making sense now. As I said before the angels could just possess the main characters of the movie and have them kill themselves. Of course they also ruined the plot when they decided to choose an omnipotent being as the antagonist as if you could do anything to stop an all powerful being who could just will them into non existence.

I guess they could pull a Job plot and say its some contest running between God and the devil to see if humanity can fend off the angels.
