Not much interested in it personally, no I don't think its so evil and bad to eat Simba. However, the controversy is over since the restaurant has stopped serving lion.

I'd totally eat lion if given the opportunity. The lion may taste terrible, but proving you're at the top of a food chain would be oh so sweet. Take that, nature!

Assuming it's safe to eat, Lions aren't endangered, they haven't been raised on a battery farm and have been raised and slaughtered "ethically" then I wouldn't have a problem eating it.

However I don't see many of those things being the case if a restaurant were to start selling Lion Tacos they're probably not for me.

Some people are raising paradoxical points:
1. yes it does take a lot to raise them and breed them, as you have to provide them with meat
but: if we are raising them and breeding them, they will not die out. There would be lion farms, separate from the wild lions.

It's bad enough that I won't kill the herbivores to eat them- I just let others do that part, and buy the meat afterwards- but I draw the line at predators like lions. It's just not cool to me to eat predators. Crocodile, bear, lion, dog, wolf, snake ... nope.

In actuality this is terrible. You should never use comic sans. I can see why there is such an uproar over this.
I'm in complete agreement. People who use comic sans should be served up in tacos.

Yeah, and also that.

Don't eat hawks, kids. The cute little mice they eat are full of pesticides!

See mercury in dolphins.

True but also seem like a huge waste of resources to raise as food. Wonder how many pounds of meat it would take to get the lion to full weight.
The amount of food it takes isn't really any more of an issue than any other form of conspicuous consumption, is it?

Shark tastes good, can't see why big cats wouldn't also be tasty cooked right.

The only 'ethics' question I see is that all the big cats are endangered.

MY FACE!!! GIVE ME BACK MY FACE!

*ahem* Yeah I'm way more concerned about the meat not giving me heavy metal poisoning than if farming is ethical. They farm Alligators so in a way it's already done, probably a colossal waste of time and resurces
