I've realized a few times. The problem is I usually wake up not long after.
I have a reoccurring one where I'm surrounded by money and every time, for some reason, I think that if I stuff my pockets with it that it'll come with me when I wake up.

I also dream in color.
+1, and I can read texts in dreams (which I found out at school at the time I wasn't supposed to be able to bcause reading is done by the other side of the brain than dreaming, or something).

Synesthesia ftw, gotta love seeing text or hearing sounds in colors :)

It's all very confusing.
That's what all of my dreams are like.

I'm not sure if they're lucid dreams, but I've had dreams that I think are actually real events when I wake up.

Things like a pretty girl liking me, getting a game early, school being out, etc.

I remember having a nightmare about a zombie apocalypse and saying to myself "Well, thats what happens when you play too much half-life"

Oh yeah, those are really frustrating when you realize it's not real :/

Lucid dreaming isn't something you can learn, you can either do it or you can't
That isn't true. Everybody can do it, look up the experiments. Some just have a natural affinity with dreaming while others don't. Like music sort of. Some have rhythm naturally, others have to work at it.

It happens quite often for dreams I even remember in the first place, but then I'll invariably wake up soon after, like in a few seconds or so. 2 or 3 times ever i've done it properly.
Flying. Is. Awesome.
Must try this out though, it sounds like a lot of fun...

Yeah flying is one of my trademarks too. Except I always fly backwards, like as though a huge invisible hand is pulling me back in the air. It's pretty damn cool.

I have had them frequently enough to know that falling asleep mid-thought makes them much more likely.
Of course, knowing that I'm dreaming doesn't allow me to force myself awake reliably, though sub-consciously, I might not want to...except if I'm being sexually harassed by naked politicians or burning to death or something.

i've had lucid dreams before, and they're some of the most awesoe and fucking terratying experiences of my life, because literally ANYTHING is possible. i once heard that in dreams about falling great distances, if you ever encounter the bottom, you will die in your sleep (some crazy theory like that anyway). the other day i had a lucid dream, and went skydiving, partway down i remembered that conversation, and guess what happened: muggins here lost his parachute and hit the ground. i've never before jolted awake so hard that i've moved the bed across my room, but that caused a good couple of inches of movement

video was terrible, made no sense and had a horrible animation style :(

Last year for a good few months I was doing all the necessary Lucid Dreaming techniques. One night, everything seemed to pay off as I realised I was dreaming and was like: "Sweet!" and then I woke up immediately afterwards. I got so pissed off I never bothered trying again.
