I don't mind lurkers. I was a lurker before I joined. I needed to know what the internet life was like, even though it's different here.

I absolutely love your avatar for starters.
Lurkers don't bother me. Hell I follow some of my Escapist friends' posts even if I don't comment on the thread. Its a form of lurking. Its more just that I'm interested in what specific people are saying.

No one lurks or cares about lurkers enough anywhere except on 4chan.

Most people started out as lurkers, even I lurked around the forums for a month or two before joining up.

P.S. Welcome to the forum community, even though you're probably familiar with everything by now.

Um just as they dont have a voice on most things, i dont have an opinion on them. Its their thing. I dont see the point in joining a forum just to be mute though.
I lurk this place more than anyone else.

Look at my post count, join date, and consider than I spend several hours a day browsing the forums here.

The reason I lurk more than post is, most of the time, I don't have anything to say. Either that or what I was going to say has already been said by another.

I see no point in quoting someone, writing "this," and leaving it at that.

Most of the time when I post it's because I have something to say.

I cannot vouch for others, but that's why I lurk.

I've lurked here for some time. I honestly couldn't care less if someone i don't know reads what i write. It's the Internet, after all!

There is no option for the lurkers themselves in your poll. Lurking is all I do (mostly because it takes time to think of something decent to post, then it ends up sucking anyway and I decide not to post it)

It really doesn't matter. I always doubt there are people reading my posts and if they are (first of all HI!!!) then I know I am not just padding my post count while sharing my thoughts that nobody will read. I never even thought about it before now. It's a good way to keep up with news and what not.

I hate MireLurks.
But seeing as I've never met a... Lurker, I can't say I love 'em or hate 'em.
If I'd met them, they wouldn't be much of a Lurker, right?
But I Still HATE MireLurks.

Well, as a former lurker, all I can say is that I'm not bothered by lurkers. They just like to listen to other people's opinion, but don't feel inclined to express theirs, as they feel like they have nothing valid to say or what they would have said has already been said. Plus lurking gives you a way to peer into the soul (sort to speak) of the forums, lest they waste their time signing up to a forum full of people who don't share their interests, or ignoramuses. (Calm down, I'm not talking about the Escapists here. Mostly.) Besides, no one posts on forums and expect to only be heard by select people, eh?

I was a lurker for about...six months before joining. It's more interesting posting and expressing your opinion then watching in the shadows like a creepy uncle.
